Ukraine sat in a worn arm chair. Her thin, skilled fingers weaving sewing needles gracefully back and forth. Her gentle blue eyes trained on the task of sewing the gloves. She gently set the nearly finished gloves aside and stretched her fingers, moving them in different ways until they made that satisfying popping noise. Then she leaned back in the chair, pulling the lever thingy until she was completely reclined. She stared at the ceiling as her eyes started getting heavy...heavy...she was nearly half asleep now.
Well she was until she felt something grab her leg. She jolted up and grasped the lever thing (what are they called) effectively jolting the chair up with her. She looked down at what decided to grab her leg only to be met with two small figures. One of which was the thing that startled her out of her half asleep stupor by grabbing her leg. She smiled gently down at them. "Hello Vanya. Is that little Natalia behind you?" She asked, smiling gently at the smaller of the two. The little girl offered a small smile in return before hiding behind her older brother. Ivan asked in a tiny voice "Sestra can you please tell us another one of those stories?"
"Of course, Vanya." she scooted back a bit to let the younger boy climb onto her lap and get situated. She noticed Natalia was having trouble scrambling up her leg and decided to help a bit by picking up the small girl and setting her down in her lap. Natalia offered a small smile as a thank you before snuggling up to her older sister and brother. Yekaterina smiled gently at her younger siblings before starting her story, "Once upon a time..."
