It was the morning. Laugh, because I was supposed to get on the train that morning. So there I was, standing there, lugged down with my luggage. Get it, luggage, lugged… just kidding. Anyways, I was standing there, waiting for the doors to open and all, and looking around blankly like your typical idiot geek does. Well, the train doors finally opened, and I stepped inside, taking my seat closer to the door. There was a seat across from me, and I was really hoping that no one would sit there. Why? I have no idea, it was just random impulse. Anyways, right before the train starts to leave, this other guy comes on, and what do you know, he sits across from me! I mean no big deal right? But for some reason, I had really wished no one would. Well, I decide that we should talk, since he had the nerve to sit across from me.

"So, why did you almost miss the train?"

"I woke up late," he replied gruffly

I shrugged, and unearthed my book from my suitcase. Might as well, right? It turns out we were both going to get off at the next station, and so I decided to start conversation again.

"so, where are you going?"

"Places…" he muttered.

That did it, he just wouldn't talk. "Idiot!"

He looked at me quizzically, "Idiot, back."

And so our shouting began. A flood of 'idiots' echoed back and forth across the two seats, and before long, everyone was staring at us. Most likely thinking, 'OK... I don't think that I would ever see that.' Well, we got to the next station, and we both got up, still screaming 'Idiot!' back to the other person. We stood before the open door that opened to the platform, oblivious to our surroundings, and still shouting at eachother. The next thing I knew, was that the engineer had entered the car. He stalked towards us, a glare in his eyes. Yea, he was probably thinking what everyone else was thinking. He walked up to us, placed his hands on our shoulders, and jerked us to face him.

"Now quit it, the both of ya's."

"No! You're the idiot!" we both yelled emphatically, our index fingers jabbed in his face. His face flushed red, and he booted us off the train. "And stay off!" he shouted at us, and we shouldered up the stairs, still shouting insults at the other.

And that was my first day on the train. (Just kidding…)
