Porky awoke from a terrible nightmare. The dream, as it had been for the past few nights, had been about the bane of his existence, and the love of his life. Looking at the clock on his nightstand read three o'clock in the morning. He tried to lay back down and go to sleep, but he couldn't. His mind was clouded with thoughts that just wouldn't go away. They had been dating for five years now, but he still didn't want to live with Porky. He also denied them dating when with their friends, yet still looks forward to the occasional movie dates or the late night phone calls. He knows their roommate questions why they stay up so late. Lately, though, Porky's significant other has been distant, they usually are distant, and cold, and rude, and occasionally abusive. But it's never intentional, atleast that's what Porky keeps telling himself. It's just, Porky is starting to believe he may be losing his love, letting them slip through his fingers all because they refuse to be seen together. It hurts Porky for his special friend to think that way, but he would do anything for them, it's always been that way. Well not in high school, in fact Porky was the mean and rude one back then. It's one of the greatest reasons he forgives them for their behavior today. He was hoping, for reasons he didn't quite understand, that his special someone would call him, right now and do his best to make up the heart ache. He looked at his phone, and looked, and continued looking.
Nothing
He sighed and looked back at his clock, it was now four in the morning. He rolled over in bed, trying to hold back his tears. Some may call him over reactive and emotional. Others may tell him he's clingy, he wouldn't know. Just before the wonders of sleep could claim him, his eyes shot wide open when he heard his phone buzz and his ringtone go off.
