Prompt!Rockliff facing some kind of natural disaster.

-(I am Australian, so I don't know much about American natural disasters and where they occur and all, but ignore how uneducated I am. I am writing from what I know and blah blah)-

"Make sure you get home quickly, but be safe, okay?"

"I will, just stop worrying."

"Rocky, this is a huge storm. Be safe."

"I will, I will, I am almost home."

Ellington sighed and hung up the phone, nervously waiting for Rocky to arrive back home. A hurricane had hit while Rocky was out, all radio stations and news channels were advising everyone stay at home, as this was one of the worst storms to hit the country.

Ellington paced back and forth in front of the door, he could hear wind and rain heavily hitting the roof top. Just as Ellington was about to call his boyfriend, again, he heard the car pull into the driveway.

"Rocky, you made it!" Ellington said, pulling the slightly taller boy out of the car.

"Of course I did, stop worrying." Rocky chuckled.

"Come on, let's get inside, it's getting wild out here." Ellington put his arm around Rocky's waist and lead him inside.

"Has there been an update on the news?" Rocky shrugged off his coat.

"Haven't checked." Ellington grabbed the TV remote, turning on the news.

"As of 5:30pm, seven suburbs in the state have lost power and are experiencing black outs. We advise all to take extreme cautions, have your emergency kits ready and stay inside, preferably in the safest room of your house. Stay away from all windows and glass and keep pets safe. Another update will be issued at-"

"You heard them, let's set up the mattress in the spare room," Rocky said, patting his worried boyfriend on the back.

"Mmm."

"Ell, what's wrong?"

"Rocky, how are you not freaking out?! We're in the middle of a huge, life-threatening storm!"

"Because I know we'll be okay, I'll make sure we're okay and safe, alright?"

"Alright."

Rocky and Ellington quickly pulled their mattress to the small, spare room in their house, it had no windows and slightly muted the sound of the storm. They collected a few bottles of water and snacks and settled into the room.

"Do you need anything else before I lock us in here?"

"Ell, don't say it like that. It's not like we can't leave this room."

"Yeah, but they said it's safer to stay in here."

"Well, then, no. I am fine, lock the door."

Ellington locked the door and settled on the mattress next to Rocky, listening to the storm outside. A loud clap of thunder made both boys jump and Rocky threw himself into Ellington's chest.

"I thought you weren't worried." Ellington teased. More thunder sounded, sending Rocky snuggling closer into his boyfriend's chest.

"Okay, I'm a little worried."

Ellington and Rocky wrapped their arms tighter around each other, as the thunder got louder.

"We're going to die."

"We aren't going to die."

"What if we do?"

"We won't."

"What if-"

"Whatever happens, I know I'm glad I'm spending this time with you… and we will be fine, I promised."

"Says the one pressed up against me, head under the blanket."

"We'll be fine, Ell."

Hours passed, the storm got wilder, the wind got worse and the rain got heavier and power went out, but it was over. The boys spent the time in each others arms, talking and calming each other. Ellington checked the radio on his phone.

"As of 10:40pm, the hurricane has passed and died down. It is safe to come out of shelters, but proceed with caution."

Rocky and Ellington let a sigh of relief.

"Told you we'd be fine."

"I'm glad it's over, it was horrifying."

"We lived."

"Yes bu-" Rocky kissed Ellington, cutting him off.

"See, nothing to be worried about."
