Daren gripped his hilt tightly to lighten the blow. Isaac crashed the two blades together, releasing an awesome violet light. They both took their time aggressively swinging at each other until their stamina gave in.
"I can see your improvements since you first came to join us here at the academy, Daren," Isaac announced. "You will definitely be a quite valuable asset once you're a full-fledged Jedi."
"Thank you, my master," Daren respectfully replied. "May I ask you something?"
"Of course, I am always pleased to help," Isaac said in an uneasy tone. Daren deactivated his blue blade, attached the hilt to his belt, and sat down preparing himself to speak.
"Master, do you think they're may be another war?" Daren asked. "I don't know Daren, but the way these outrageous uprisings are increasing in number, I can't quite rule it out as a possibility." Daren glanced down at the floor, insecure about the response he received.
"I think this is enough dueling for one evening" Isaac snapped. "Try to get some rest, and don't let your feeling cloud your judgment, my young padwan." Daren looked at Isaac and gave him a small grin, the stood up and walked out of the arena.
He was on his way to speak with Androma, he dearest friend who had also become a padwan along with him after the great war against the Sith. She had been his best friend since they were mere infants, and he knew he could always go to her when he had something on his mind. Daren paused as he was about to take his next step, and ceased to move futher abruptly. Something wasn't right; he could sense something, something, unnatural. He now had begun to hear foot steps, but at a much quicker pace; someone, or something, was running toward him with haste.
With his fingers becoming tight on the hilt of his blade, he positioned his feet to quickly be able to turn and disarm his opponent in an instant, for if he is struck. The footsteps stopped right behind him and he turned around and blindly activated his saber. As he had focused onto what it was he realized he made a grave mistake, because before him was Androma, covered in blood.
