A/N: This is going to be another sad oneshot. Sorry!!

Disclaimer: Wish I did own MI, but I don't!!

The tears were running down her cheeks and she stood still with her head bent. In her hand, she held three roses. It was a bright, Sunny day. But where she was standing, it felt dark, cold and lonely. She looked up and read the message on the head stone.

Tears began to fall more quickly as she began to cry harder. She lent down and lay the roses on the grave.

Three more, for another year without her. And three, for what age she was when she died.

"I miss you so much." She whispered to the grave. "Why did you have to leave me?" she blew a kiss. And then stood up. She slowly walked away from the grave.

No one knew, but this was the reason why, she had joined the NIH in the first place.

Her world began to spin, and she fell. Luckily it was into the arms or Dr. Miles McCabe. She continued to cry. He pulled her into his arms. They stayed like that for several minutes until she pulled away. She grabbed his arm and they slowly left the graveyard.

They went back to her place and she took a long bath before getting into pyjamas and hopping into bed. Miles kissed her on the cheek and left.

She continued to cry while she lay in bed.

When she was 16, she fell pregnant, and 9 months later, her daughter Sarah was born. When Sarah was three, she was diagnosed with cancer. She died because she didn't have the money to pay for the treatment.

She made a promise to herself, that she would help other people, and so, she joined the NIH.

Every year on this day, she would go visit Sarah's grave and place three more roses on her grave. Sarah had been her life. She was the only thing in the world she cared about. Now, well, she had her job and co-workers, but Sarah was still important to her. She would never forget Sarah.

"I love you Sarah." She whispered before falling into a deep sleep. She swore she heard Sarah whisper, "I love you to mum."
