Prophecy Girl

Candles flicker as I enter your lair

The coldness hits me, I step into ice

Dripping water breaking the silence

Every step has its price

Shadows transform, nothing becomes the beast in the dark

As the moon hides his pale face from the night

Hungry eyes stare from hidden corners

Tension mounts, the air filled with fright

Crossbow loaded, hands begin to shiver

My finger closes in on trigger, yet my prize has not been sighted

A movement behind me and I whip round sharply

Arrow free, seeking out the enlightened

A sudden grasp and you are here

Cold fingers around my neck holding me still

Fear freezes me, can't move, can't scream

To cold and numb to feel

Teeth sink into flesh, draining life, life I was made to sacrifice

Power flows in my blood, now yours to use

I drop to the floor, life gone, drowning slowly

Unable to breath, unable to choose

Crossbow on the floor, limp body in water

You are gone, surfaced, and ready to bring hell on earth

Arrow deeply imbedded in the wall of the cave

The sight of my corpse fills you with mirth

All life is gone yet far of voices sound in my head

A feeling of salvage fills my soul

Then once again the cold damp air fills my lungs

And your face above illuminated by the candle's glow

Feeling returns to the muscles, bones feel strong, stronger than before

You took my life but I've returned to show you

I will return. I will live, destiny is mine to control

My life is up to me, taking it is not up to you

Seeing you there. Teeth bared, snarling, angry at my survival

I'm not a victim, a helpless girl you can use as your next meal

Demons and devils are all that I fight and for angels I die

I'm not a victim, a helpless girl you can use as your next meal

You won't haunt me and now I go in for the kill

Your bones turn to dust, nothing left of the monster inside

Evening is over but my life just begins

No one will know the light I see, that I saw as I drowned

My ears quiet from life and deaths constant din
