Merry Christmas Phoebe
By: Piper Chris Melinda Halliwell
Coop hearted into the foyer of the house after a meeting with the Elders. This would be one Christmas Phoebe would never forget.
Walking into the kitchen, he saw Phoebe cutting Christmas cookies. He smiled when, from the side, he could see the slight bulge in her stomach, meaning their twins weren't just a dream as she had once thought. He walked over, wrapping his arms around her before kissing her cheek.
"How are the cookies coming along?" he asked as she turned in his arms and hugged him.
"Good, but I'm not Piper. That woman is a master baker."
He chuckled, kissing her lightly. "I'm sure they'll be even better," he replied as she slid the cookies into the oven after turning back around.
"Good, probably, but better? I highly doubt it," she replied with a sigh.
"What's the matter?"
She shook her head. "The holidays…they always make me nostalgic," then she smiled as her hands went to her belly, "of course, nowadays, almost anything can change my mood."
He smiled, kissing her cheek. "What is it that you miss the most?"
She thought a moment, wiping her hands on her apron and pushing a couple strands of hair that were too short to be pulled back behind her ear before answering. "I guess, most of all, my son. I never knew him. I only had that horrible nightmare."
Gently, he wrapped his arms around her and they disappeared in a puff of pink smoke in the shape of a heart before reappearing in the same manner directly in front of the couch.
"Sit," he suggested. "You've been on your feet all day. And you're hardly seen the Christmas tree since it was decorated." He untied the apron and laid it over his arm before going to put it in the kitchen.
She sighed. "Yeah, you're right. I guess I just figure the busier I am the less I'll think about him," she said, wiping her tired eyes.
"Most would think that you were avoiding it," he replied as he turned off the main lights and plugged in the tree and sat beside her.
"You don't?"
"You miss him?"
She nodded. "So much."
In a flurry of white lights, there stood her mother holding a little boy's hand. He looked about seven with jet black hair and green eyes. They became corporal as they walked over to the shocked woman.
"Hi Mom," she said with a warm smile, standing up to hug her.
"Hello my baby," she replied.
The boy looked at Phoebe in fascination she noticed as she pulled away and sat back down.
"Grandma, who's she?" he asked.
Patty just smiled. "This is your Mommy, sweetie and she's been waiting a long time to meet you."
He looked unsure, but when Phoebe gave him her hand, her fell into her arms crying as much as she was.
She hugged him tight. "I love you," she said, kissing his cheek.
He nodded, mumbling incoherently into her shoulder.
Coop smiled. "Merry Christmas, Phoebe."

Author's Note: Wow, it's been a long time since I've written a Charmed one-shot. But I figured with the holidays just a day away, this would fit.
