When Marle awoke the very next morning, she ran her fingers through her hair to undo the knots as she turned to wake Crono up, only to find out that he wasn't there. 'By the Gods, where am I?' Marle thought to herself, glancing around and finding herself in a plain.
As she glanced around, Marle soon saw a handsome blue-haired man who was training with his sword. Marle got up and walked up to him.
"Excuse me, but can you tell me who you are and where I'm in?" Marle asked.
"Ah, you're up." He said, sheathing his sword. "My name is Chrom, and you're in Ylisse. What's your name?"
Marle smiled and told Chrom her name and her story. When she was done, Chrom was already piecing bits of her story.
"Okay, I… seem to get what you're saying." Chrom said as a dark-skinned man approached him.
"Hey, Chrom. Who is this?" The man said.
"Basilio, meet Marle. She's going to be joining the Shepherds." Chrom said.
Basilio laughed, giving Marle a hearty handshake before Flavia walked up to him. Lon'qu suddenly glared daggers at Marle, seeing the sight of yet another woman haunting him in his sleep other than Robin. Marle giggled a little and then set out to introduce herself to the rest of the Shepherds.

After learning of the conflict between Ylisse and Plegia, Marle soon woke up to a woman screaming as she retired to her tent. Grabbing her Valkyre bow, she ran out towards Robin's tent, nearly knocking it down as she entered.
"Robin, are you okay?" Marle asked, looking at the huge rock that trapped the tactician's foot.
"Marle… Oh Gods, I'm glad you're here." Robin said, trying to shift her foot from underneath a huge rock that she tried to knock Chrom out with.
"For a second, I thought we were under attack." Marle said, lifting the rock as Lissa came into the tent with a smile on her face.
"Thank the Gods, I found you Marle." Lissa said, smiling. "My brother wants to speak with you."
Marle blinked. "What for?" She asked, surprised.
"Just go!" Lissa shoved her out, and Marle headed towards the tent at the back, where she found Chrom strapping the Fire Emblem on his arm.
"What is it, Chrom?" Marle asked, catching him off-guard.
"You're here." Chrom said, sitting down at his study. "Marle… right? It feels odd to call you that."
Marle nodded. "Yes, but it seems odd that I look like your sister, Emmeryn." She said as she smiled at him. "Thank you for the talk, Chrom."
Chrom returned her smile. "Your welcome. Get some rest, you need it."
Marle nodded, and ran towards her tent as Chrom watched on, feeling a tear run down his face.
As she headed back, Marle noticed a black haired man wearing a black cloak adorned with red cloud patterns was lying on the ground, motionless. Marle shook her head, and headed back to her tent, where she lied down and was instantly back in her own time.
