LIZ: SURPRISES

Elizabeth, Liz to family and friends, knew quite well that life was always full of surprises, both good and bad; but some surprises could come out of nowhere so fast that it left her head literally spinning on more than one occasion. One of those times had been when she and Sam had learned that Dean had dated for a while this girl named Cassie, and he'd told her the family secret! This had effectively blown her mind that her own twin, who was so insistent about following the rules, had actually broken the biggest rule of them all for a girl.

She and Sam had teased Dean about his relationship with Cassie, but they had also worked together to stop a ghost truck that had murdered her father, two of his best friends, and then the mayor himself since they all had, along with her mom, kept a secret of what'd happen to the truck's owner: one Cyrus Dorian.

Liz would never admit it, but she'd been spooked when Sam's dreams started up again, this time connected to a boy named Max, who could move things with his mind, and then turned into actual visions when Sam was awake, too; of course learning that Max's biological mom had died in a nursery fire when he was six months old had been disturbing, but in the end she had felt sorry for him since his own father and uncle used to abuse him and blame him for the fire, and, like Sam, had been helpless to stop him from killing himself with Dean's gun.

Liz knew that dealing with the forces of evil wasn't an easy life, but being kidnapped by a family of hillbillies, who were also cannibals, was an utter nightmare; of course learning that the FBI were in the area had left her worried since if they knew that Dean was alive and not dead back in St. Louis, then he would go to jail and probably get the death sentence. She'd been surprised however when it turned out that this particular group of FBI agents were profilers and actually believed them, had left her head spinning, and when they had the charges against Dean dropped had been a dream come true.

In Chicago there had been too many unpleasant surprises, among them this strange woman named Meg, who Sam had meet three weeks before, and had just happen to be in the same bar as them; Liz had understood Sam's suspicions and had called up Penelope Garcia, a lab tech who worked with the BAU team of the FBI, to look up whatever she could about Meg Masters.

She and her brothers had learned first-hand that Meg was definitely a bad guy when several shadow demons known as Daeva's had managed to get the drop on them at the warehouse, and then in their motel room after they'd been reunited with their father, who had actually shown up; she'd was upset when Dean pointed out the risk they were all taking by being together, and had tearfully watched their dad leave even though she knew that while they were weak when they were together, but she knew that they were also strong when they were together, too. Basically, no matter what the demons thought, the Winchesters were a family and nothing they did to them was going to change that ever.

A/N: I hope you all enjoy this one-shot. Until next time, folks. R&R everyone!
