I sighed as my dad drove us further and further from civilization to our new home, the lake house he inherited from grandfather. Weak wifi and barely a phone signal 10 miles from the small village Burgess. But it would be peaceful away from the busy, polluted city streets. And winter was just around the corner, I love the winter Snow flakes, ice skating snowball fights and hot chocolate with marshmallows.
We reached the Wooden lake house by 5pm, there it stood covered in a light frost, hehe Jack Frost was out and about then... Anyway back to the story We got out and walked towards the frost covered house the cold air fresh and crisp compared to the warmth of the car. I couldn't help but smile at my dad, he was happy to be at his home place "welcome to our new home Juliet, you get the large guest room" I nod and head to explore the room.
I reached the last door at the top of the stairs and opened it slowly. The room was bright with different shades of blue and Silver my favorite colors with snow white walls and furniture. I couldn't help but smile and go to the large balcony door windows loosing my breath at the frost covered scenery of the trees and the lake. "Do you like the room?" i jump at the sound of dads voice, I nod happily "I had it done up for you oh and there's a surprise in the closes go see" i hug him and go check and lift a blue box and open it. Inside the most beautiful pair of Ice Blue Skates Ive ever seen. "Thank You! Thank you" i hug him again.
He smiled and left me to sort out my stuff. Ounce it was done i stood out on the balcony gazing at the sunset, silently wishing to myself that Jack Frost would make it snow , yes am im 17 and believe in Jack Frost, My grandad that lived here told me stoties of things he saw in the winter living here, "Well I won't hurt to try. Please Please make it snow soon" Closing my eyes i wished with all my heart. I sighed and went to dress for bed, crawling into the covers getting warm and drifting asleep after the long day.
