Edward had always been a man of action.
For as long as Winry could remember, he could never express his feelings well. His words defied exactly what he wanted to say. And it had always been like this.
Edward always got under Winry's skin. They always verbally brawled, stubbornly insulting each other to prove their point. He would slam doors at her, never tell her anything, or glare and yell at her. He would call her stupid and keep things from her. At this, it would seem they hated each other.
But Winry knew.
She never missed the way he would softly look at her when she was working on her newest auto mail model. She knew that he never said anything nice to her because he was too embarrassed to. That he didn't call or tell her what was going on because he didn't want her to worry.
That he would come in late at night to drop her off a midnight snack when he thought she was asleep. That he never told her anything because he didn't want her to get involved in the dangers he faced. That he never physically fought back at her because he never wanted her to get hurt.
That even though he had so many chances to get his auto mail fixed with a better mechanic, he would always choose her. Because she was trusted by him.
She never missed the blush that would appear across his cheeks when she smiled at him. She knew that he hated himself when he made her cry. She knew that she was one of the few people he would ever smile for. And she knew that he would always, no matter what, come back to her.
She always thought that maybe it was because he wouldn't even know what words to say to display his feelings. Or maybe he just didn't feel the need to. He knew that she would understand.
But when he chose to rarely say with a red face "I love you", she would smile. Because she knew he felt uncomfortable. She knew that it was hard for him to say, no matter how true it was.
Because his actions spoke louder than his words.
Because even without the words, she knew how he felt.
She always knew.
So i wasn't able to put this in the right words that i wanted. i guess i'm a woman of action too :3 PLEASE REVIEW
