Love Girl

Author: Georgie Pooh

Pairing: Naru x Saku a little Jiraya x Tsunade

Summary: A collection of random Sakura pairings just cause she happens to be my most favorite-ist (not sure if that's even a word) character on the Naruto series.

Sakura Haruno had a thing for love. It was her drug, her addiction. The reason that she followed Sasuke around as a child. Also the reason that she developed an obsessive crush as a twelve year old girl, but when Sasuke left the village, she never got the opportunity to truly fall in love with him.

Instead while she awaited his return, she held on to her image of him before he left as one of the perfect match for her, the one she would grow up to marry when he came back to sweep her off her feet like the knight in shining armor she wanted him to be. Her vision of him faltered of course when she and the rest of the village got wind of the fact that he had finally killed his brother Itachi and Naruto in turn had finally defeated Sasuke and he had brought the avenger back to the village. At the tender age of eighteen Sakura then realized that Sasuke probably would never have come home on his own and she gave up waiting for him everday after training hoping that he would notice her and finally ask her out. She gave up on those visions of her in a white wedding kimono and walking down the aisle with him and she finally moved on and eventually he stopped being the main focus of her universe.

So she noticed what was right in front of her the whole time:Naruto Uzumaki.

He had been gone away to Suna on a three year mission with the legendary toad sannin, Jiraya, also known as the legendary pervery. Sakura let go of anything that was left over from her feelings for Sasuke the moment she set eyes upon her blond teamate for the first time in three years.

Sakura found herself stealing glances at him as she,Jiraya and him walked around their home city together. She still couldn't beleive he'd grown to be 6'4!And how handsome he had gotten as well. His eyes were as blue as ever and were still filled with mischief and that cheerfullness that only he could manage, yet there was a hint of matureness about him and that sparkle in his eyes had dimmed, not completly extinguised.

Being around Jiraya had not been all fun and games after all. Naruto's wiry straw yellow hair was still unruly, and it clashed with that orange uniform to perfection creating the most blinding image she had yet to see. The uniform that was infamous in all five countries was a little different than the original but she couldn't expect him to wear it forever considering his growth spurt. The thought made Sakura grin and Naruto blushed so lightly it was almost unnoticeable on his tanned features.

"Ne, Sakura-chan, I missed you the most out of everyone,"he grinned, putting a hand behind his head nervously. She smiled and took a step towards him and stood on tip toes as she threw her arms around his neck, in a big hug.

"S-Sakura-chan?"Naruto asked, the blush on his cheeks spreading rapidly.

"Naruto, you will never know exactly how much I missed you too,"Sakura murmered and she felt his arms come around her waist to hug her in return.

Over on the other side of them Jiraya smiled knowingly and walked away to leave the two alone, after all he still had to go pay Sakura's mentor a little visit. Like teacher, like student he mused, whistling as he made his way to Hokage Tower.
