A/N: I DO NOT OWN INCEPTION.

"Let's go there, I'm sure there is the safe and-"

He broke off when he noticed her.

The park was big enough, almost like the Central Park, and the trees were perfect to hide from he projections. But, from all the places she could had been, she was right in front of him.

Her hair was stained with blood, as her ivory scarf, her favourite, and the same one he gave her a long time ago. It was stained with blood too. The glass of her watch was also broke, and her blue jeans were worn.

"What is she doing here?"

The Point Man screamed at him, while they were running from the projections and the gunfire. It been a year, and nothing could erase her from his mind. Not even his work, not even his children.

"Buy me some time, Arthur"

"Make sure you do, we are here to work"

Arthur knew he could sound cold and tough, but he needed to be. Specially when his best forger was almost losing grasp in reality, if he keep bringing her into their jobs.
Despite the comment, she smiled at him.

It was a rainy night in Paris, and they were at their place, looking for some delivery to call for food, when she realized that she forgot something in he warehouse.

"I have to go and get it Eames, it's important"

"Just leave it. We are going to have dinner, love"

She took her car's keys and went too her children's bedroom, planting a slightly kiss on their cheeks.

"I'll back soon"

Eames sat on his couch waiting for the delivery boy, when he heard the noises of the police and the ambulance, but he didn't pay much attention on it, until his celphone rang. It was her.

"Ari, can you-"

"I'm sorry sir, I'm calling from the lady's mobile. She suffered a car accident and-"

Before the police man could say anything, Eames ran to the streets. He heard the noises before, it couldn't had happenned so far away. And he wasn't wrong. Two blocks away from their house, she was lying on the floor, covered with a dark blanket. Her car was totally unrecognizable, and the front glass was completly destroyed.

"Who are you?"

"How is she- she's my wife"

"I'm sorry sir, she's dead"

He sat next to her, and she gave him a sweet kiss on his left cheek. Her hands were cold,, and her face was pale. She looked exactly as the moment he had to recognize the body.

"Why are you here, love? You know Arthur-"

"The information isn't in the safe Eames. Look into the building, the mark is hidding everything there"

The time was running, and he knew he has to leave.

"Why did you leave me? Why did you leave our kids?"

Little tears were falling over his face, as he touched the scarf that was on her neck.

"I had to. But I'm always with you, always. And tell Joan to pray every night, and tell Willy that I'm always listening. Tonight, go home and cook macaroni with cheese"

She stood up and smiled at him one more time.

Despite some militarized projections, they could extract everything. And as Ariadne said, the information wasn't in the safe.

"I'm sorry Arthur, it will not happen again"

The Point Man just nodded, and they leave the warehouse in silence.

That night, Eames cooked Macaroni.

"It's delicious papa. It's our favourite, how did you know?"

Eames smiled at Willy's comment, and continued eating, remembering Ariadne's suggestion in the dream. After a quite dinner, the Forger took his children to bed.

"Night daddy"

"You don't forget something? You have to pray to mum"

Little Joan frowned, looking a little upset.

"What's wrong sweetie?"

"Why we have to pray, if mum can't hear us"

He tried very hard not to cry, but he couldn't.

"She's always listening to you. Always"

That night, Eames tried to sleep. Tried to see her one more time.

Just a little one shot. I hope you liked, despite it's sad.

See you.
