Hey was walking toward me. What was that in his eyes?? I am now fearing for my life. And then, he leaps toward me. I scream. He chuckles, we fall on the couch.
"You. Are. SO. Scary!!" I scream, giggling and gasping for breath in between each word.
"That's what I thought." He growls. I can feel the laughter as his chest shakes against my back. We lay there together, perfectly content for what seemed like ten seconds, but 3 hours at the same time, until Alice came in, bearing shopping bags.
"Hello lovebirds." She greeted. She dropped at least ten shopping bags with a thud on the table, then turned towards the door and yelled: "Jasper, they aren't that heavy, where are you?"
She was met with no reply. "Jasper?" She called again. "I'll be back." She said without even giving us a second glance. I turned my head to look at Edward, I can't believe he's still here, with me. He must have seen the look in my eye, the look of unbelieving, because he tried to soothe me by saying; "Bella, love, I love you. Never again shall I torture you like that."
I smiled. I know he won't leave me again, I just needed to hear him talk, say my name. My mind drifted to our wedding looming in the future.
"Promise me one thing Edward." My heart accelerated as he lifted one eyebrow questioningly. He chuckled, stupid vampire hearing.
"Almost anything Bella." Almost?? That's new; it's usually anything. I was instantly worried. "Almost."
"Oka-ay. Don't get me a present." He instantly knew. Wedding.
"What if it's not too extravagant?" Did he already buy me something? Do I need to get him something? I looked at him questioningly, but his eyes only gave away a hint of smugness. I wasn't going to break down, no presents. I repeated that a few times in my head to make it stay.
He won. He always wins. "Fine. But not too extravagant."
"Let's seal the deal shall we?" His perfect lips we turning up at the edges. I leaned in to kiss him, but I was met with a hand in the stomach.
"Ow." I said rubbing my stomach.
"I didn't mean like that." I looked at him. Why won't he kiss me? "Handshake."
I sighed. He always wins. I stuck out my hand. He surprised me by grabbing my hand and pulling me off the couch, and picking me up bridal style. He lips met mine before I could ask what he was doing.
Out of the corner of my eye, I could swear I saw Alice and Jasper peering round the corner of the front door. I put the thought at the back of my mind, and focused on the kiss.
"BELLA!" Edward's luscious lips were off mine as soon as I banished the Alice-Jasper thought. "Damn it."
I put my head down in disgrace. "Sorry" I murmured.
"Me too." He agreed. "Music?" He asked.
I nodded my head vigorously and he was soon flying up the steps to his bedroom. Again, I saw Alice and Jasper, this time in the doorframe, high-fiving.
