"What the hell is that?" Foolish, Satoru dived back into the water. All thoughts, all memories drawn to the glistening light beneath. He couldn't help himself.
It looked to be a jewel, the light glowing from within. He needed it, nothing else mattered. Not even the oxygen his long scream for as he reached the bottom of the lake.
Finally, after several minutes his fingers clenched around the Jewel and he fell happiness. and then it exploded, like shot through him searing through his flesh and blasting him further and further into the darkness.
"Shit!" The curse slip past sarto's lips as he sat up terrified. His body shook with fear he tried to push away the nightmare. "Why doesn't it stop. I've been in this time. For more than a month..."
shaking a side of sphere, as best he could he decided it was time to wake up. Within an hour he had left his room, bathed and walked around the garden and even eaten. And then, as he always did he found himself in the library of the Temple.
It was here at the head monk found him. Gin was an older man, easily in his 50s with his remarkable feat given they were in the feudal era. He had a commanding presence, a cleare guiding figure for all those around him.
"You had another nightmare didn't you." It wasn't really a question, the monk sat next to him and placed a heavy hand on Sotaru's back.
Slowly he nodded, acknowledging the man. "It's getting more vivid. I think it's because I'm finally realizing I'm stuck here. 500 years before I was even born. Everyone I love gone, not even existing at all. In a world filled with demons and monsters and war and famine."
"You must have faith child. Buddha and the Gods do not abandon their children lightly." They stayed there for a few moments, before Gin stood. "It's time to meditate. If you want to try to return home, you must Master the magics of this time. The power Buddha has bestowed upon us, this may be the key to returning to your world."
Sataro looked up with a gracious smile. "I really hope so..."
They shared the smile for another moment, before Gin turned serious."do not forget child, tell no one of the truth. would you not want you to slaughtered for something you cannot control. people already suspect you are a spy, telling them you were from the future would only result in greater misfortune."
"Trust me sir, if my time is Time here has taught me anyting. It is that people cannot be trusted with tge Truth." Satoru smiled to himself. "Besides even if I do not happy power to return home, I enjoy learning all the skills of a monk. If nothing else I'll have some purpose to be here. If nothing else I have that."
