Piklopedia 1.5

A/N: All the creatures in the Piklopedia are those encountered by Chronos on his journey on the Pikmin Planet. Any that are marked with a star were discovered by him; the rest were discovered by Olimar. Also, where applicable, I will try to use actual Latin for species names. Of course, if Olimar already gave a name, then I will use that. I will update the list as the story goes on, but I am adding the first day's species before I finish the first day just to give a teaser. Pikmin come first, then enemies, and then the flora.

Pikmin Species

Green Pikmin*: Pikminicus viridis -

The first Pikmin species I have encountered on this planet, as well as the first new type discovered on this little expedition.

These emerald-colored hybrids have the proportions of a Red or a Blue, and have two vertical slits on the sides of their faces.

They also have tails with a similarity to their stems, but there is always a flower on the tail.

While this keeps them more balanced, it can probably also be used to inflict more damage in battle.

More analysis is required...

Enemies

Dwarf Red Bulborb: Pansarus pseudoculii russus

The standard small enemy of this planet, Dwarf Bulborbs are Breadbug-mimics of the larger Red Bulborb.

Olimar initially named them the Spotty and Dwarf Bulborbs, but now it is known that there are other sub-species with spots.

The Dwarf Red Bulborb, unfortunately for itself, retains the weak spine of its close relative, the Common Breadbug, but does not have the aforementioned creature's thick skin.

An attack on it's back defeats it in one hit.

Flora

Pellet Posy: Amplus nutrio

The Pellet Posy appears to be the main source of nutrition for most animals on the Pikmin Planet, as they regurgitate Pellets when they die.

Depending on the number on the Pellet, that is the number of Pikmin required to lift it.

Also, depending on the Pellet's color, the number of Pikmin spawned is different.

When brought to a like Onion, the number of seeds released is the same as the number on the Pellet.

When brought to a dislike Onion, the number is cut in half and rounded up, save for the 1 Pellet, which gives two seeds when brought to a like color Onion.

Exactly what the relationship betweens Pellet Posies and Pikmin is has yet to be determined, however, it is known that they have similar plant-animal hybrid cells.
