This is a complete remaster of Adventure time: Shadow of Mordor.

Finn in this tale will be 21 and voiced by Sam Witwer.

A rush of cold air ran straight through Finn's body as his eyes snapped, only to stare at the midnight sky. A million bright stars twinkled upon him, the bright moon casted an eerie glow across the ruins of Candy Kingdom streets. Confused and dazed with his vision blurry, he tried to stand on his own before he fell and stumbled on his knee's.

"Jake? PB? Marcie? Anyone?!" He called out as he managed to regain his lost footing.

He grunted as a sudden sharp feeling shot through his chest, he grabbed his chest as he tried to fight pain. He had experienced many pains from his many battles, but this pain was completely new to him and it hurt deeply. He regained his footing and gazed down to see that his brown unbuttoned canvas vest, now sightly distressed like his short black hooded cape that was torn and burnt out at the bottom (looks like Marco Diaz's cape from SVTFOE, but black); with a simple longsleeved blue shirt that its sleeves rolled up to his elbows, with a brown belt on his back that holstered a sword sheath that favored his right hand. His left hand was still wrapped in bandages that went up to his forearm, but left the half of his fingers exposed. He looked upon his bionic arm that Princess Bubblegum had made and upgraded over the years, its material was light, aproximately the weight and size of his normal arm, but nearly indestructible with its hand having three fingers that had diamond-tipped claws. He had black cargo pants that was held up by a brown utility belt, with black laced combat boots. His trademark white hat was gone, revealing his golden blonde hair tied to a ponyail and slightly pointed ears.

As Finn continued to look at his surroundings, he noticed that the world around him flickered and waved with blue flames that distorted and obscured the buildings that where in ruins with some that where on fire. The image before him was both beautiful and strange, even if Finn saw many things during his many adventures it frightened him slightly.

"Where the hell am I?" He qustioned.

Deciding to travel this strange new world he found himself in, he moved foward before his foot kicked something on the ground. He gazed down to what he accidently kicked which was his root sword, its blade now broken in half and stained in an ink-like substance. As he bent down to pick up the broken blade he stared at his reflection, and it was when his head begane ache.

Flashes and images began to piece together in his head as his skull ached. Candy Kingdome citizens panicked and ran through the streets as huge chunks of fire and stone was shot into the sky, killing most in its wake. He still remembered the faces of the invaders, hidious with jagged teeth that where dressed in metal and leather painted red, and a majority of the Candy people caught in the crossfire where either captured or eaten alive. Even with the combined might of Jake, Marceline, and the bannana guards the invaders where extremely difficult to fight against for they had huge hordes from whence they came. The magic that they used was so dark and powerful that they corrupted the Gumball guardians and turned them against the kingdom.

And finally... through all the chaos of the battle, he could felt a sharp pain of an object comming through his back.

When the images in his head began to cease, so did the pain in his head. He rose up as he slowly began to remember what happened, and only one question plauged his mind.

"Am I... dead?"

"No, young one. You are banished from death."Finn, who was startled by this new voice, held his broken blade out as he searched for the origin of the mysterious voice. All he saw however, was nothing but a wisp of blue flames that dissapeared as soon as it was in his sights.

"Who's there? Who are you?" Finn asked as he tried to find the voice.

"I am like you young one, lost and confused..." The voice answered. A figure began to take form, staring at the young man.

The figure was that of a man. His face looked old and rotted like that of a corpse but he held a smile of sadness as he looked at Finn. The figure glowed white and blue while clad in armor that glowed like a white light. He had long hair with pointed ears and a crown like head band across his head. His back had a quiver with arrows and small amount daggers on his chest.

"What the hell happened to me?" Finn asked as the figure walked towards him.

"To put it simply... you've died, you were slain in battle before your friends could escape the seige."

Finn looked looked down at his hands and felt his body, his hearts still beating in his chest and the cold air leaving his lungs.

"Then how am I still breathin'?" he asked as the spirit looked to him gravely before taking a deep breath and began to tell him a horrifying truth.

"You have been banished from death, and have now been cast adrift between the worlds of light and dark. A curse binds us together to walk this earth for all time."

Finn's eyes widened, he looked down to see that his hands ignited an light-blue fiery aura. A sense of dread washed over him as he casted his gaze upon the spirit.

"But this land can be saved, You have been chosen to Save this land from an ancient and powerful evil, only by stopping it can we be free of this curse." The wraith said as Finn turned around to face the wraith.

"Chosen... chosen by what?" He asked with a quirked eyebrow.

"By the ring on your finger. It holds a power within. But the rest, I cannot remember."

The spectre pointed to the silver ring on Finns' left index finger. It was a gift from his mother when he last visited the Island that held the last of the remaining humans, his birthplace and former home. The ring itself had a bright blue glow with marking he couldn't understand, but he could feel its power course through his body.

Soon the world around him shifted from the strange world that he was in back to his old and familiar one. Gazing around the round streets of the Candy kingdom he immediately spotted a familiar weapon. A steel sword thats blade was now dented, chipped, and dirty, with a two-handed leather grip, and a silver ring pommel. He sheathed his sword and "dagger", fully intent on leaving the ruined kindom, he needed to find the others and see if they where okay.

He traveled around the empty streets of the Kingdom, what was once beautiful and sweet was now destroyed and in ruins, red flags with war that boar symbols of war hung proudly against the ruins. How long had he been gone? He wondered.

"MAGGOT!"

A snarl reveberated in Finns ears like pitched Swill both angry, fierce, and feral. For a solid second he wasn't sure what he was looking at, or if it was real. He had faced many creatures before, but this...

It was like staring at something from a mans worst nightmare, and it stared right back.

He found himself staring at a gang of creatures that were neither human or monster, but some strange abomitable mix between the two. Creatures with dark skin, some a ruddy type of yellow, others green, some pale white, and light blue. But they all wore metal armor clad in dark crimson red.

The leader of the group leered him a sticky growel, exposing it's jagged yellow teeth and its bright, piggish eyes.

"Looks like we missed a Ranger during the Siege, boy's." the creature snarled as it brandished its iron cleaver. "An easy mistake to fix."

Ranger?

Finn could only imagine what that was. He did look quite different in terms of clothing, but a ranger?

What in Glob's name is that?

"Orcs," the wraith spat that word into Finn's head, its distast for the creatures was as clear as the morning sun. "You will find this land infested with them, and those they have broken or enslaved. They don't understand that times have changed; but you are still a fierce warrior."

A wave of bright-blue circulated and ignited fire on Finn's real hand, the flame uncirculated and morphed until a transparent bow appeared in his hand along with a quiver of arrows on his back. The bow itself was beautiful and masterfully crafted, showings its designs as it gleamed through the night.

"Use my bow, young one." The wraith instructed. "And let it smite our enemies."

Despite rarely using a bow, a strong instinct kicked in as Finn slowed down and the world around him became blanketed in black and blue flames. He took a deep breath before holding the cold air in his lungs, and pulled the arrow back. When he finally steadied his aim, he released it as the arrow flew through the air and sailed across the street before hitting its mark at the center of the orcs skull. Before the foul creature fell, Finn repeated the same actions as one-by-one the orcs fell to his arrows, leaving only one left. The leader, who once had a feral and savage hatred for Finn, now gave him the look of absolute fear. But Finn shot another arrow into the orcs feet and pinning him to the ground.

"Impressive... you are rather skilled with a bow Young one." The wraith complemented with a smirk as the bow dissapated from the blondes hand.

"Thanks." Finn replied, turning his attention to the orc leader as he still struggled to break free. "So, what whadda we do with him."

"It would be best to question him." The wraith suggested, "He may have information about your comrades whereabouts."

Finn simply nodded as he walked towards the struggling orc, summoning the transparent bow and pointed it at the orcs face.

"P-please, Ranger! Have mercy!" The orc pathetically pleaded.

"Tell me the where the survivors of the attack are!" Finn demanded.

"O-of course, boss! A slave I had... swears he was with him, and I sold him from a keg of grog..."

"TO WHO!?" Finn demanded, his voice blending with the wraiths.

"To Gimub the Slaver!" The orc whimpered.

"Where is he?!"

"He's up West near the mountains, that's all I know, I swear it! Please, don't kill me!" The orc continued to plead.

Finn drew the arrow, ready to kill the foul creature before him. But he relented, lower his bow as the aura around the orcs leg faded into nothing. The orc frantically looked between his leg and Finn before he clumsly fell as he fled in absolute terror.

"Interesting..." The wraith hummed inside Finn's mind, causing the young man's spine to shiver slightly from unfamiliar precense. "If it is West, then West we shall go."

"Yeah, if we can trust a word he said." Finn replied with distrust clear in his voice.

"He feared for his own life, Young one." The wraith explained, " He speaks the truth."

Finn opened his mouth for another response, but the sound of a horn rang through the sky.

"It is not safe here, even for us, we must leave now, fore more shall come."

The young man simply nodded and throughout the long night he stuck to the shadow, eventually finding a one of the Kingdoms hidden escale routes, dissapearing into the Candy forest without a trace.

This is an alternate universe to the original Adventure time show, obviously. So expect some changes.
