He watched her silently, observantly analyzing exactly the type of magic that she possessed.
What hex had she put on him? What poison had she used on him? When? How?
He gasped aloud, pressing his fingers to his temples. His ragged breath fogged up his bifocals.
"No!" He flung his glasses away, unwittingly shattering them. 'I have to see her clearly…'
She watched him, amused. Her long, wild snow-colored hair blew slightly in the bitter wind, the morning cold bit at her chocolate brown cheeks. She laughed at the his absurdity—a gentle, brilliant laugh—and silently turned away from him, disappeared, running with the harsh wind that accompanied the roaring thunder.
"NO! Please come back! No! No! Please! No!" He stumbled clumsily, trying to catch her to no avail. "No..!" What if she heard? What would she do, if she heard? The truth gnawed at him every day: he was well and truly in love with her.
He tripped and fell into a puddle of wet mud. Soaking wet and crestfallen, he got up to another heart wrenching realization: his glasses—his only pair!—were devastatingly shattered.
Furiously, wet, cold, and sore, he cursed loudly at the sky. He blindly fumbled around, attempting to stand. He vaguely registered that he had a gash on his leg, blood flowing freely from it. "Argh!" he groaned, flopping back into the mud. "What's the use? How could this day get any worse?"
As soon as he uttered this, the sky opened up and poured its cruelty upon him in the form of rain.
Her name was Digadir. Everyone in town whispered her name quietly, not daring to evoke her wrath. Every child feared her. Every animal watched silently in awed reverence as her shadow fell over them in passing.
The terrified people in the small village of Wonharu, high in the mountains, witnessed the horrors that she brought upon them. No one could leave. Tourist didn't stay long. No person has seen her. No person can see her; she blended into the darkest shadows. The shadows that even demons feared.
She was human once, some mentioned. She was the brightest, most beautiful young woman with the clearest dark brown skin you could find. Her eyes were clear orbs of deep black, sucking one into its very depths. Her voice, her attitude… both were the in their purest form—before her childhood was cruelly snatched away from her at a very young age.
