pete/chloe/lana/clark friendship
summary: The four friends discuss the past and getting old. Humor, I promise.
"Hey, Pete, do you remember that party that Lex threw where you got completely trashed?" Lana laughed. For the first time in years, the four legendary friends of Smallville high were back in their hometown for their fiftieth high school reunion.
"My memory is really going. Old age is definitely getting to me." Pete grinned sheepishly.
"I know what you mean!" Lana replied, grinning. "The other day, I picked up the phone, but I couldn't remember if I was answering it or calling someone!" Lana said, causing the other three to laugh.
"That's nothing! The other day, I was standing on my landing and I couldn't remember if I was going up or going down." Clark interjected, making the rest laugh some more.
"Well, I guess my reporter's mind is still as quick as ever." Chloe said, smiling slyly. "Knock on wood!" She said, rapping her knuckles on the kitchen table. "Oh!" Chloe said, looking up suddenly. "Someone's at the door!" She said, jumping up and rushing out of the room.
"Oh, it's been to long!" Clark said; laughing at what he assumed was one of Chloe's antics.
"No one was there!" Chloe said, sounding exasperated as she sat back down.
"I don't think she was joking!" Pete whispered to Clark.
