As the twilight began to stretch its figures over the sky as I stepped out my door and watched my two children play among the wild flowers. Isamu, at age seven, was running among the tall grass with his four year old sister running up behind him. Looking up, I watched as the sun sank slowly behind the mountains bordering Northern Hyrule, separating it from its neighboring lands of Termina and Labryna. A forest surrounded the roots of the mountains, stretching for miles inland. A single road went through the woods and led over the mountains into Clock Town, Termina.

My attention was about to return to my children when a lone figure exited from the forest. He wore a green tunic the same shade as the forest pines with a white undershirt covered by chainmail with a green cap hugging his brown-blond locks. He was leading a crimson horse with silver-moon mane. The children had noticed the figure as well and began to run towards him as fast as their short legs could carry them. I too began to move towards him in with a study pace, my smile continually growing on my face. Isamu was the first to reach his father, dropping the reins Link crouched down and answered Isamu's hug with a crushing one of his own. Sayuri was second to reach Link stretching out her pudgy arms with excitement. As she reached him he knelt down and rose again twirling her through the air.

I was the last to reach him, my smile growing more radiant as I walked towards him at a steady pace. Looking up from his two children, he saw me. Standing from where he once knelt, he began to stride towards me eagerly. breaking into a run, he met me halfway with a crushing hug which I answered with my own. Pulling back I was able to look into his eyes that shone like sapphires, my own eyes where sparkling with happiness that mirrored his own. Our two children vying for our attention brought us back to the present . Scooping up Isamu and Sayuri gently, he placed both of them on Epona's saddle with Sayuri sitting in front of Isamu. Taking the reins in his hands once again, he turned to me and wrapped and arm around my shoulder and kissed me gently on the forehead. Smiling at the gesture we both began to walk back to the house .

As the sun began to set for the day, the children's eyes began to droop. Link was cleaning himself up from his previous . Despite the fact he was exhausted, he managed to keep his appearance up for his children. Sayuri was already fast asleep by the time the stars began to make their appearance in the sky. Tucking Sayuri in I kissed her on the head and made my way over Isamu. "Mom, could you tell me a story?" Seeing how late it was already was I was about to decline his request."Pleeeease," Giving me the biggest eyes he could manage, he began to pout his lip as well. He had always known how to convince me otherwise. Hearing a creak at the door I looked up to find Link watching Isamu and me from the doorway. Seeing him smile, I turned to Isamu and began to tell him a story that began nearly ten years ago.
