Jaune desperately tried to run back into beacon tower, he had to get back to Pyrrha. He had to help her, he had to save her!
Jaune's phone rings, but with barely a pause he picks it up.
"What is it?!" He yells into the phone with labored pants.
"J-Jaune." rasped the weak voice, a voice he recognized it was Pyrrha.
"Pyrrha! Thank god, are you alright? Don't worry I'm on my way!"
Jaune said frantically as he dug his heels in and ran faster.
Pyrrha chuckled, the sound rasping and laborious, "I'm sorry Jaune, but I'm not going to make it."
Tears stung into Jaune's eyes, making him stumble but he regained his balance before he tripped, "Don't say that Pyrrha! I'll get there! I'll save you then we can stop all this! We can save everyone, we can be heroes!"
Pyrrha chuckled again, "Oh Jaune," she took a shaky breath and started to sing, "I may not live to see your glory~"
Jaune started crying, "Pyrrha please! Please hold on!"
"But I have gladly gave my life."
"I'll save you I promise! I give you my word, so please just hold on!"
"...and when the people tell your story~"
"Pyrrha..."
"Will they they tell the story of tonight?"
"Just hold on!"
Jaune suddenly tripped, he was sent sprawling to the floor his weapon clattered on the ground but he caught his scroll, accidentally pusing the record button.
"I love you Jaune, I'm sorry I can't be with you."
"Pyrrha please," Jaune sobs brokenly, "Pyrrha no..."
"Goodbye Jaune, I'm really sorry." Pyrrha rasped before going completely silent.
"Pyrrha? Pyrrha please, this isn't funny! Pyrrha please answer me!"
The line was still silent, damning and quiet.
"Pyrrha? PYRRHA, NO!"
Jaune sobs and cradles the scroll close to his chest, curling into a ball, uncaring for his surroundings.
"Pyrrha, why? I'm not a hero, I'm just a failure."
"I'm sorry, too Pyrrha."
