I gracefully jumped into the well, ready for the flash. But instead of the usual flash, it took longer – fresh air filled my senses, blue open sky, white clouds around – what?! Oh no! I'm falling out of the sky!
"Kyaa!" I screamed as the colors around me whirled. I closed my eyes, waiting for the hard fall. Then came a soft thump. "Whoa! That was a close call!" I opened my eyes, to find an orange form beneath me. I widened my eyes in shock. "Oh my gosh! Are you alright?" I quickly stood up, but began to fall once more. "Omph!" I gasped. He was still alive. I got up and pulled him up. I looked curiously at him. He rubbed his head.
"I'm fine! No big deal. I can handle – whoa!" He fell back down. I knelt down and saw that he had a huge bruise on his back. Well, not exactly saw. I sensed it.
"Hey turn around, okay?" He looked at me curiously, but decided that he could trust me. He turned his back towards me. I looked at him hesitantly. I did not know if I could heal him without seeing the wound. "Can you take your shirt off?" I blushed. That sounded really perverted. He looked startled. When he looked at me, I guess he found my intentions to be good, so he took off his shirt. I held back a gasp as I saw the bruise. It was a horrible looking thing, all black and swollen. I placed my hands on his back, closed my eyes, and started to glow a bright purple color. I focused my energy on the wound, slowly knitting the flesh back together. There! I was satisfied. I opened my eyes, only to see his eyes looking at me in curiosity.
"What was that purple light?" I stood up quickly and brushed the dirt off.
"Sorry," I said nervously, "I've got to go." I raced towards who knows where, but he was right behind me, racing. My eyes widened in shock. Are you serious?! I picked up my speed, him doing the same. "Why are you following me?! He did not answer, but kept going. My eyes widened in surprise. When I let my guard down, he focused. He raced into me, and we tumbled all the way down the hill. I sighed and put my hands on my face, curling up. I did not know how to go back, even if he didn't catch me. He looked at me concerned.
"Hey, are you okay? I did not answer, only started to cry. I missed my home. Inuyasha, Sango, Miroku, Shippo, Kirara, Souta, grandpa, mama – I may never see them again! I cried even harder. Nothing could stop me from crying. He must have sensed what my distress was about, for his face was that of comprehension. "Come on. I'll take you to my village." I looked at his hand dully. He then forced my hand into his, pulling me up. He started running, dragging me along with him. "What's your name?" I answered softly. "Kagome." He grinned. "I'm Naruto."
