Your name is Callie, and life, really sucks right now. Moving into a new town is really hard, especially since you had finally begun to make some friends back in your old one, something that comes as quiet a challenge to you. You had worked very hard to get those friends and finally all that work was wasted when your father told you and your brother one night that you were all moving.
So again, life really sucks, you think as you sit in the back of the large black truck your father is currently driving. You look out the window, trying to ignore your brother who has been throwing rude jibes at you for the past few hours since you all first left. He can be quite the pest at times, well actually, try all the time.
The two of you may be twins, but you and him are nothing alike. Sure you both may look similar except for your different colored eyes and you may even usually wear the same outfit, but when it comes to personality, the two of you could have come from two completely different planets for all you know. Where he is this sarcastic ball of rude and immature insults and jibes, you consider yourself to be a pretty peppy and friendly individual with an excellent taste for literature and art. Yep, you two couldn't be more unalike if you tried.
"So, how does that sound?"
"Hmm, what?" You ask, turning to look as you notice your father's voice.
"Ugh, if you had actually been paying attention," your brother pipes up smugly from his side of the back seat, "You would have heard him say that we will be attending school immediately starting tomorrow."
"What!" You practically screech, "B-but father, why so soon?"
"Well, the reason being is that the movers will be quite busy and I don't want the two of you getting in their way. Besides, it's Sunday, so tomorrow is going to be Monday and that's when school starts back up for the week anyways," Your father pays absolutely no heed to your obvious shock, "Look, even I'm going to start work immediately, so it's not like I'm being unfair to you two."
You sigh and slump back into your seat. It's only natural that your father would do this kind of thing, but then again, it's not like he was completely aware of your particular position.
You had been hoping that you would at least have a few days to view the other towns' people from a distance for a few days, to prepare yourself for what would come. But apparently this would not be happening.
Yep, your name is Callie, and life, sucks even more now.
