Thomas Harrington, a boy of five years old. Watching as his village is being burned down, and his family slain. He hears from the closet "Ha-ha! So glad we came here. Have you done the scan?"

Holding on to his brother, from going out there, and trying to kill the three men.

"Ya' know, I actually haven't, I wonder what's sitting in the closet or…" As he starts walking towards the closet, A loud roar can be heard and a horn blowing from the distance. "Damn! Thought we'd have more time. Looks like the Calvary is here." One man says.

"Let's go Thern, I bet Susan, and the rest are waiting outside the city now. Let's just hope that these people don't catch up." Thomas and his brother hear the footsteps leaving, but they won't take the chance of going outside in case they might still be there.

*An Hour Later*

They start to hear a voice going from door to door. "Is anyone here, this is Commander Tyr, of the Ironcade Army. We are sorry for the late Arrival." As he hears nothing he continues on with a sad face. Until he eventually got to their door, just as he knocks it slams open knocking him off his feet, and slamming him down on the ground.

As the commander looks up and sees two kids, one with long black spiky hair, and bright red eyes. As he looks over at the other child, he looks a year or two younger, but with short spiky red hair, and onyx colored eyes.

"It'll be okay, we're sorry we got here late." As he stands up he wraps a blanket over the two. "Go ahead and look for others without me I'll stay with these two." He looks over at the other soldiers. As they nod their heads and proceed to check the other houses on the street. "I hate to ask this of you two but can you tell me who it was that was here?" The commander looks down at the two.

"We heard one man say two names, but it sounded like first names sir. Thern, and Susan." The older boy says. As he holds his little brother staring off into the distance still in shock.

"I am sorry about what happened here, if only we could of gotten here sooner, this might not of happened. But we can take you out of here and try and relocate you with a new home and family if you want."

"No, I think… We'd be fine." The eldest boy says. "Are you sure? We can always try our best to relocate like I said. Again I am extremely sorry that I could not make it in time."

As the commander walks away and the fires died down, the two boys start to walk away towards the woods on the edge of the town, they disappear into the woods.
