"Don't wander off." Sounds good to me. To wander off means I might be free.
If I wander away I could follow a stream to a place just for me. I could roam over the hills and dare to be free.
"Don't wander off." But I might want to go; to leave you, to flee. Who made you the boss, the boss of me?
"I mean it, Sam. Don't get out of that car." How long can I wait? I can smell the free air, I call hear the wild wind.
