A/N: Just a cute little fluffy Scorose fic at their honeymoon.
Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter.
"Morning, love," I hear as I wake.
I'm too tired to even respond, so my only reply is, "Mmmm..." I sense my husband coming closer to me.
Scorpius kisses my bare shoulder. I smile. "You up yet?"
"That's a stupid question," I grumble. Scor and I are on the first day of our honeymoon, and all I want to do is sleep. We took a Portkey here last night after a long day of work, around eleven. After rescuing witches and wizards and fighting all day, I wanted to sleep all day. I open my eyes and spot the clock. 7:04. Ugh. I groan. "Scor, what in Merlin's name are you doing up this early?"
He drapes his arm around my waist and pulls me in. "Just woke up, I s'pose. You want some breakfast?" His left hand traces ancient runes into the vulnerable skin of my back, and it tickles. He kisses the freckles scattered there.
"Do we even have any food in the fridge?" We'd rented a little cottage on the lakefront, and it was ours for two weeks, but we hadn't stocked it yet.
"We've got a house-elf, remember?" he reminded me. "Her name's Sunny?"
I frown. "New or Old?" The New generation of house-elves get higher pay and more breaks, while the Old still believes in little to no pay and no breaks.
"Old. We met her last night."
I'm ninety-seven percent sure that I was far too groggy to comprehend anything when we arrived here yesterday. "I was really tired last night. I don't really..." My sentence trails off. "But I am hungry."
I can feel his mouth stretch into a smile against my shoulder. "Okay. You're gonna have to get up for it, though."
I groan again. "But it's our honeymoon," I whine, clutching the covers tighter around me. "I want to stay in bed..."
His hand brushes my red hair away from my neck. "Rose, we've got our whole vacation to sleep. Come on." Scorpius rubs my shoulder, up and down. "We can go out to the beach after. We can sleep out there, in the sun. How's that sound?"
"Mmmm..." I shift on the bed so that I am facing my husband. "As long as there's bacon."
He kisses me quickly and then slides out of bed, moving a couple of the bright yellow blankets down in the process. "Of course there'll be bacon. Come on." He grabs my pajama pants and helps my tired self into them, and then pushes my slippers onto my feet. He scoops me up into his arms, bridal style, as I hold onto his neck.
"Thanks," I mutter.
He smiles and heads for the kitchen, taking me from one doorway to the next until we reach the kitchen. The house-elf waits for us there, Grinning, she practically jumps up onto the table when she sees us arrive. "Mistress Rose! Master Scorpius! How good to see you!"
"Good morning, Sunny," said Scorpius as he placed me into the chair. "And I already told you, you don't have to call us that. Our first names are fine."
"Yes, Master Scorpius," the tiny elf replied, ignoring his comment completely. "What would you like for breakfast!"
"Some bacon would be nice, Sunny," he said, "Eggs, too? And some pancakes?"
"Of course, Master Scorpius," she replied, and she got to work, snapping her fingers to get a few pans and the griddle warmed up.
He turned to me, smiling. "You awake yet?" he asked, referring to the wonderful smell of bacon frying.
"Bacon always wakes me up," I say, and I kiss his cheek. "I'm good now."
