Disclaimer: I do not own Danny Phantom! I got inspiration for this poem from Phantomrose96's story Wondering. If you read this story after this poem, you might get an idea where some of these thoughts root from. Though really, all of my thoughts on this poem probably stem from all of the stories on my favorites list.
My thoughts may be a bit grim, but hey, where you muse takes you, you must go.
I hope you enjoy! Review are always welcome. I would be interested to hear your interpretation of this poem!
Thank you!
Rest In Peace
- TenebrisCor -
Days pass by
they move so slow
as to almost cover the pain
...
It seeps into existence
this hole in my heart
and I am only to blame
...
They ask over again
what am I
they plead
...
I never warned them
this hole in my heart
until it started to bleed
...
I could have told them
they might have cared
but all I can do is beg
...
for them to love me
for them to care
what difference does it make if I'm dead
...
They had time to plead
They had time to beg
all it gained was loss
...
It was too late for me
It was to late to plead
All I needed was their trust
...
I now sit alone
my head on my knees
fighting for my life
...
whatever I had
I now have lost
all I have is strife
...
I could have told them
they might have cared
now I sit alone
...
Alone with my thoughts
alone with my soul
the pain has only grown
...
My blue eyes scan
devoid of life
for it was ripped away
...
by those I love
I thought they cared
"No, please stay..."
...
I watch them leave
tears in their eyes
If only they understood
...
Their son is dead
by their own hands
He is now gone for good
...
My dull blue eyes
close slower still
as if time had gone
...
When they open
my past dies
the green shining through my eyes
...
It whispers my name
I gladly heed
my soul shall rest for now
...
Until the day
humanity pleads
That day approaches still
...
When they call my name
I shall come
I have a destiny to fulfill
...
But my body rests
beneath this tomb
with a heart that no longer beats
...
Saying: RIP Danny Fenton
a brother, a lover
He knew not the word: Defeat.
