Update! Yay! So I'm trying to fix the poem the way some of you suggested, how you like it! I have also decided to add more poems here. They're all kinda dark... One I might post on FictionPress, but probably won't. Oh and thanks to Alyssa (she's a guest) for helping me out with the first line! :D Soo... yeah. If you've already read my poem you can skip over the other A.N. And I didn't change much just some grammar stuff.
A.N. This is a poem I wrote after a depressing day and reading Thirteen Reasons. It's kinda foreboding.
There's nothing that has to do with the book other than the fact that I wrote it after reading Thirteen Reasons and I wanted to post it somewhere. If you know of a site where I can post poetry and get feed back, please PM me a link to the sight.
The first line of the poem is bad, it needs help. If you have suggestions of what I should do with it please PM me your ideas.
If you think you can make this poem Hannah related you can try, but please let me know your doing so. I don't want to report you on accident.
I really think the poem sounds better read out loud.
Okay you probably skipped over that, but without further ado here's my poem
~Steph
My Soul
My world is spinning, my heart is breaking
And my soul...my poor, poor soul... is losing its light
Slowly it's shimmer is fading
I reach for it but it's not my soul anymore
No, rather an empty husk of what it used to be
of what it should be
of what I want it to be
But that I have not a clue how to find
How do I find what I want?
What do I want?
Do I want my life to rewind to before that fateful moment?
Do I want to fast forward and skip this part entirely?
Do I want to say here forever never-changing, nothing changing?
I don't know what I want, that why I have to find my soul
My real soul
My spirit
My strength
My will
My soul is not part of my mind or heart
Rather, my soul is the essence of my being, the very life within me
And that's why I must find my soul
To live
A.N.I warned you I wrote it after a depressing day. Feed back please!
