Okay, so the day wasn't so bad. But it wasn't great either. I was heading into my new job at the BAU, trying to figure out what to say. I knew the member's names, and I knew that they were going to be pretty standoffish. I mean, transferring from the Fugitive Task Force to the BAU; seems like a dream. Not really.

"Hi, my name is Luke Alvez and you must be Aaron Hotchner," I said, but I realized it must stupid to say that now. I head-slapped myself and headed out the elevator, trying to get myself together. As I entered, I saw a tall, thin man with brown hair, looking over a file. That must be Spencer Reid, I thought. I went over to him, going to introduce myself.

"Hi, my name is-"

"Yeah, you're Luke Alvez, my name is Spencer Reid. Agent Hotchner is in the briefing room." He stared at me with cold eyes, trying to see if I was up to the job. It seemed pretty clear that he was the closest to Agent Morgan, but I decided to ignore it for the time being. I headed into the briefing room, and just for a second, I could feel the thick animosity in the air. I saw a blonde talking to a tall, imposing man. I tried not to freeze up right in front of them. The blonde came up to me, putting on a obviously fake smile.

"Hi, I'm Jennifer Jareau, and welcome to the team." I shook her hand, but noticed how her smile faded when Dr. Reid came into the room. They shared the same pain, as did everyone. Another blonde came into the room, albeit more depressing than the others. Having a frown and dark clothing, I'm guessing that she was the most affected by Morgan's loss.

"Okay, can everyone sit down?" she said with a edge of bitterness. Everyone glared at me, like I wasn't supposed to be there, which I practically feel right now. I know that they were close to Derek Morgan, but I never knew that their bond would run that deep.

"Um, I'm Aaron Hotchner, and this is David Rossi." He pointed to the man in a fine Italian suit. He had sarcastic eyes and a lazy smile pointed at me. "And this is Technical Analyst Penelope Garcia." She slightly waved at me and clicked the remote. I kept half of my focus on the case and half of it on the team. Everyone glanced at me every now and then, trying to get a sense of who I was. I know it was hard for them, but imagine how I feel.

I'm a replacement in the FBI's most elite division, in a family that bonded through time. When I became an FBI Agent, I wanted to be in the BAU for so long. Now I'm here, trying to suck up to these brilliant profilers who probably hate me.

"Wheel's up in 30," Agent Hotchner said, breaking me out of my haze. I grabbed my go-bag and headed out with the rest of them. I know that being a part of this team means you have to cooperate, but right, that's not exactly happening.

A/N: This is not my best work, but it'll have to do. Let me know what you think in the reviews, I would love to read them!
