Chapter 1 Sasuke Returns
A man with raven hair stood in front of his opponent. Blood dripped from his katana; He wiped it away on the sleeve of his shirt. Sheathing his blade, he glanced at his fallen opponent and sighed as he wiped the sweat from his forehead. He had sure given him a run for his money, even if he was supposed to be the strongest Ninja alive, in fact he was not. Sasuke was stronger clearly, it didn't matter anyway, the term living would soon no longer apply to his foe.
Kneeling down over his attacker he said, "You won't tell me where Naruto is Sai. You tried to kill me. You won't ever be able to kill an Uchiha especially me. I'm so far out of your league I'm in a different solar system. So just tell me what I want to know. We both know how this is going to end but I promise to make it easier if you just tell me."
Sasuke spoke with such confidence, knowing he wasn't going to be persuaded by anyone. Sai however missed it having passed out. He left him making his way into the woods, he started to think, a few visions about his childhood flashed through his mind. His friends, who liked him, and his only love Sakura. Haruno Sakura. Maybe she hasn't forgotten about him. Last time I remember seeing her was the second time she tried to stop me from being with Orochimaru.
"Sakura," he said slowly scaling from tree to tree in search of Konoha. Making it to the gate the Uchiha sighed trying to find a way around the gate. He wanted to sneak into the village he had once betrayed. Once he found his old home he jumped in through the window. The floor was covered in dust and it looked like nobody had come here in a long time. Sasuke glanced over at the door, it opened slowly as he tucked under his bed to hide. A figure, a woman entered the room, he could tell by the shoes she was wearing.
She searched for anything that would interest her, something of Sasuke's. Her Sasuke-kun was gone from this earth, as far as she knows. At their last encounter Naruto looked like he had killed Sasuke, before his death he had given her a scar across her abdomen.
She walked over to the closet which was right in front of his bed. He slowly moved quietly away from the bed, he looked over at her and saw she was blushing slightly. He didn't make a movement, he knew his cover would be blown if he did, but he could and did settle for watching her.
Opening the closet door, she sigh saying to herself. "Sasuke-kun, I miss you so much. I wish you were here with me right now. I want to feel your arms around me." Her saying all this made Sasuke blush slightly, he reached his arms out, about to grab her but he hesitated. He still couldn't completely trust her. For all he knew, she knew he was there and she was playing him.
"I'm right here Sakura. I'm back." he said softly under his breath, trying to make himself known but at the same time not startle her. Sakura tilted her head, peering over the edge of his bed. She saw Sasuke, he was alive; he was here in Konoha. Her face flushed a dark pink; she closed his closet door quietly. He had moved to a sitting position in front of the bed. Looking at him she sat down on the bed. So many thoughts passed through her head. What was he doing here? How did he survive? Why was he back?
The pair locked eyes for what seemed a lifetime, as their eyes parted Sakura saw he had no katana on him. That Sasuke had no weapons on him what so ever. She watched his moments; still a bit worried he could do something to her, his arms fell down to his sides. Moving her hands, she started to lace them around his, waiting for his reaction. Surprised that he did nothing, it seemed like he was enjoying the affection she was showing him.
"Why are you here?" she asked quietly.
"I came back after I killed Orochimaru. I wanted to see..." he said stopping, he never wanted to tell Sakura how he felt about her. Standing up he sat back down next to her. Slowly putting his arms around her he blushed slightly as she did. "Look Sakura what I'm trying to say is...I love you." She was completely shocked now. The great Uchiha, Sasuke confessed his love for none other than Haruno Sakura. Could he be telling her the truth or was lying to her?
She slowly placed her hands on his lap. Both sets of eyes meet once again. Sakura smiled at Sasuke as she said "You really mean it Sasuke?"
"I do, Sakura. I really do love you so much; more than anything. I couldn't stop thinking about you the whole time I wasn't near you."
"But Sasuke, the last time you saw me you thought I was annoying. Why did you think that?"
"I was trying to hide my true feelings for you Sakura. I loved you, even then, I just didn't want to tell you. That is why I left the village. I knew if I stayed here I wouldn't be able to get any stronger. I would have been trying to protect you to much."
"Sasuke…Naruto and I…"
"What's going on between you and Naruto?!"
"We have been getting closer. He's my best friend. He still loves me and I can't do anything about it. He thought that after killing you I would give up on you. He was wrong. I still feel the same way about you even though I thought you where dead."
Sasuke admired her beautiful face as she spoke clearly. He found his hands start to slip closer to hers. When they finally retched her's, she stopped in the middle of what she was saying. She smiled as his hands covered hers.
"Sakura." he said slowly "I want you to help me out with my next quest."
"What would that be Sasuke?"
"I need your help to reclaim the Uchiha clan. To put it back on it's feet. I can't do that on my own now can I?"
"B...But Sasuke..." she started to blush as he removed his hands from hers and putting them on the sides of her lap.
"What's wrong Sakura?"
"Out of all the girls in the village you could have chosen, why did you choose me?"
"I already told you that you my one and only true love. I have only ever wanted you."
"Sasuke." Sakura said slowly wrapping her arms around Sasuke's strong back. She felt his arms wrap around her shoulders and pulled her closer to him.
"Sakura, I have something to ask you." She stared at him. While his eyes meant hers he grew closer and closer to her lips. The raven haired man smiled as his lips grew ever so close to his cherry blossoms. Once their lips where only a few inches apart the med-nin moved in for the kiss. Her first kiss. The kiss of a lifetime. The only kiss she wanted throughout her whole life.
As she pulled away the kiss he pulled her closer to him. "Sakura, I want this moment to last forever." He said as he kissed her on the top of her head. "I've always wanted to say this to you, you don't have a big forehead like Ino says you do. I think it's very cute Sakura-chan."
Sakura smiled at Sasuke as he picks her up and he wrapped his arms around her as he picked her up bridal style. He got up and asked her, "Sakura how far is your home from here?"
"Only a few blocks away." she said "Why what are you planning?"
"You'll see Sa-chan" He said as he walked out of his home and made his way to hers…...
