Scorch – The movie trailer
As the Quidditch match proceeded, a tall lean but muscular lone figure hovered far above it. Next to his Slytherin robes, green flickering flames adorned his black gauntlets, his trademark. Long wavy silver hair fluttered in the breeze while kindly hazel eyes on a visage closely resembling his grandfather Lucius, watched keenly for his prey. This approach Scorpius developed, allowed him to spot the snitch before the other players. Due to his veela inheritance, his eyesight and his hearing exceeded the human norm. At sixteen, so far he hadn't had a game where he didn't catch the snitch.
For bold flying, he earned the name Scorch fondly dubbed by his brother Severus. On his broom, from a high altitude, he would aim it down at a ninety degree angle. Then he would plummet towards the ground using his flying skill and gravity to propel him at virtually unheard of speeds. With that momentum, he would turn his broom in the nick of time so he could parallel the ground. He flew so low he almost touched the ground and at such a rapid velocity that his brother touted that he scorched the earth.
In the distance below, he heard screaming. Focusing, he saw on the lake, a small boat tipped over with a child frantically trying to tread water with another child on shore yelling for help. If the child didn't drown, he would surely die from hypothermia soon. Though brooms weren't designed for two passengers, with enough velocity, he might make it. Quickly, he soared slightly higher. The other seeker and an observer noticed and followed, thinking he had spotted the snitch. Boldly, he hurled towards the lake, pulling up in a nick of time. Barely above the water, a wake trailed behind him as he flew. As he approached, he extended his hand and grabbed the child. With all his might, he sped up and climbed as he tried to barrel roll so the child would be completely out of the water. Feeling his velocity slowing, as the end of his broom touched the water, with the shoreline in sight, he flung the child towards shore while he braced for impact. Bitterly cold water walloped him. Though his muscles wanted to cramp and his head spun in the deep water, he released an air bubble and followed it to the surface. Above the surface, he spotted the shore and swam towards it. By now, someone had levitated the child to the shore and then him.
Though the crowd tried to shower him with accolades, he ignored them. Though the press touted him a hero, he shunned them. Buried within him, hidden from his family, he kept a secret. Years ago, this secret endangered him and most regrettably his brother and prevented him from ever being a true hero.
This is a little clip to the stage for the story Scorch. The story is in my head but sometimes a scene comes so clear that I must type it or forget. Please let me know what you think. Thanks.
