Um, hi few people who might stumble upon this story! My name is Xandra and I love fanfiction. I love writing it because it helps me escape from reality. Anyway, um, I just wanted to say I hope you like this. I don't usually write one shots or anything. I also have another story called Thunderstorm; it's a Fairy Tail oneshot and I would love it if you would check it out. Enjoy! ^w^
Eren smiled in pure bliss as he gazed at the man he was in love with. After meeting him a few years ago, he'd wanted no one else. Levi Ackerman may seem like a complete insensitive asshole, but he's actually quite caring and very protective of those he cares about. The problem he has was that he had trouble making those connections. The few he had connected with died years ago and it still hurt when either of them thought about Levi's old squad.
Eren mentally shook himself as he returned to the outside world. He just barely heard the words, "I do" uttered from Levi's lips where they were curved into a small smirk, causing Eren's heart to flutter in his chest. Even though he had known what Levi's answer would be, he couldn't help but feel elated at the other man's response. Eren could see the love shining in his captain's eyes as they gazed at each other. Honestly, he felt like crying; he was so happy when Levi proposed to him he had thought he was dreaming it all. Many times he'd had doubts that Levi actually loved him and was just pretending as a sick joke, but then Levi would prove him wrong with every small, loving kiss, every sweet word, and every gentle caress.
"I now pronounce you man and groom!" The pastor declared and Eren watched as Levi's smirk widened. Levi's hand shot out and grabbed the front of Eren's tux, yanking him down. However, Levi stopped him, their noses barely brushing. Levi's smirk melted into a soft smile as he gazed at Eren. "I love you." He whispered before gently pulling Eren down the rest of the way. However, before their lips connected, Eren's eyes snapped open.
He shot up, noticing he was lying down. Soon, tears began to stream down his face as he once again felt the emptiness beside him and the lack of warmth. A dream… it was only a dream.
He'd been dreaming of Levi since his death a few months ago… Everyday he woke up and his mind still expected his husband to be holding onto him tightly, using him as a teddy bear, making it quite difficult to breathe. Before, he used to try wriggling out of the iron grip, only to end up waking Levi. Now, he missed those hugs greatly. He would give anything to feel the warmth of his lover and the security of his presence.
Most of all, he wished he could have saved the person he loved most.
