A/N This is going to be a selection of one shots from the perspective of Remus and the friends he gained and lost. I was unable to find any stories relating to the losses Remus had throughout his life and I thought why don't I write a story myself.

I have three best friends, I met them all at school, and on the train to be exact we shared the same compartment on the Hogwarts express. I'll never forget the day I revived by letter to attend Hogwarts, Professor Dumbledore attended my parents' house when nobody replied to the letter. My parents thought it would be foolish for me to attend the school due to my condition and the possibility I may be a threat to my fellow students. However Dumbledore had planned for my attendance, the wonderful man that he is and with the safety measures he would enforce I could attend Hogwarts without being a risk to myself or my fellow classmates.

Professor Dumbledore had bought a house in the village of Hogsmeade; he had then constructed a tunnel form the school. To prevent access to the students they had planted a tree.

*Memory*

'But Professor Dumbledore, how is a tree going to protect the tunnel and other students from entering the tunnel' I asked in confusion.

'Well Mr Lupin the tree is not just any tree, it has been enchanted so that if a person walks to close then it will, shall we say attack them' replied Professor Dumbledore.

'You say attack sir, but would that not surely be dangerous for the students?' my mother asked in concern.

'Alas Mrs Lupin the students will be warned of the danger that the tree faces to them and I'm sure this will prevent them from going anywhere near the tree.'

*Present*

And therefore the arrangements had all been enforced and I was on my way to Hogwarts, a pleasure I thought would never be given to me. However my only concern was that the other students would discover my issue and I would receive the prejudice that I most likely deserved. However on the same day of his visit Dumbledore promised me that only the members of staff that needed to know would be told of my condition. This I thought was wonderful I may actually be accepted by people and they would be oblivious my condition, life could not get any better.

All so I thought until I sat in a seat on the Hogwarts express and met three boys who would later become my best friends.

Next chapter will be about how he met his three best friends in full and the first night they spent at Hogwarts
