I don't see why I am not welcomed

Everywhere I go, I am pushed

It's not as if I do bad things;

Rather, I do everyone a favor

I am a harbinger of goodness

Not a bearer of evil

Still, they reject me constantly

Only few truly accept me

And they are thanked greatly

As for the rest,

The ones who struggle and fight

The ones who weep and cry out

They are punished

This is not my decision

Only law of the land

But I cannot say it saddens me to do so

After all, would you take kindly to strangers

Who fear your home

Thinking it houses demons and devils

Ignorance plagues them

Foolishness blinds them

So as I do my job

They try in vain to stop me

But carefully, carefully, I complete the work

And feed the veil

And keep the world in balance

And rest, quickly

Because there are many living souls

Who must make the journey

Whether they welcome me or not

Is their choice
