A/N: I know that I have a Xena story in the making and I haven't updated in awhile but I was watching 'Forgiven' for the thousand time and this idea popped into my head. An idea of a missing scene... ;)
So the story is a missing scene from episode 3x14 - Forgiven. Enjoy!

The moon was peeking through the leafs of the trees and its rays landed on Gabrielle's face. Her eyes were open and she had a not-so-happy expression on her face. She turned her head to the side and locked her eyes with the image of Xena sleeping calmly and Tara laying on the bedroll next to her. She turned her head quickly to gaze in the stars. Just then a spark flew out from the dimming fire and landed on Gabrielle's hand.

"Ouch!" She grabbed her palm and rose up to a sitting position. She gazed at Xena again and saw that her painful moan hadn't disturbed her sleep.

"That's it!" She growled to herself and stood up storming out of the clearing.

Then Xena opened her eyes. She looked up and stood up as well fallowing the blonde.

Gabrielle haven't gone far but just enough to be able and speak her mind out loud and to no one in particular.

"I'm all for giving the kid a chance to turn her life around but I can't stand her. Gods know I am patient but never in my life have I thought that I would meet a person this obnoxious and getting on my nerves so much!" She yelled up to the sky. Xena was not far and observing her deciding that letting Gabrielle speak her feelings would take some edge off her.

The young bard took a rock and threw it as hard as she could.

"I tell her my staff is important then she goes and throws it in to the fire. I think, be patient it could've been an accident but then she goes and takes my place next to Xena, MY PLACE! Ugh!" She growled clenching her fists. "And what good comes from this? A spark from that fire burns my hand! To Tartarus with that girl!" She kicked a tree immediately regretting that action.

"OUCH!" She grabbed her foot and started to bounce around the ground.

Xena got out from her hiding and enveloped the blonde from behind when Gabrielle stopped her rapid movement speaking not a word. Gabrielle turned her head and her emerald eyes met with the ocean blue.

"Are you better after all this?" Xena asked smiling at her.

"You did see, didn't you?" Gabrielle laughed nervously.

"Yeah, I saw." The tall warrior smirked. "She does get on your nerves, doesn't she?"

"It's my place." She said under her breath and the pout long forgotten returned to grace her face.

Xena tuned the blonde in her arms and with a finger under her chin she forced the bard to look at her.

"She may be having your place for the night but my heart will be always yours." And with that she leaned down and placed a soft kiss on her lips. "Okay?" She asked smiling.

Gabrielle wasn't mad anymore, her lips were formed into a smile and as a response to Xena's question she closed the gap between the enveloping Xena's waist and standing on her tip toes she kissed her again but this time the kiss was way more intense and much more time passed till they parted. Once they did all they could do was smile.

"Come on, lets go back." Xena said offering Gabrielle her hand. She accepted and they walked off.

When they reached the camp Xena laid on Gabrielle's bedroll.

"What are you doing? That's not your bedroll. Yours is there." Gabrielle pointed in Tara's direction immediately getting a disgusted face.

"So what? We'll manage to sleep on this one just fine." She smiled and mentioned with her hand for Gabrielle to lay beside her. The blonde complied and when she did Xena drew her close to her and wrapped her in her arms.

And Gabrielle laid her head on Xena's chest falling asleep listening to the beating of her heart. The heart that would always belong to Gabrielle.
