"Cass!" Dean called. He had looked around and saw all of the red eyes from the monsters in Purgatory. He needed to get away, and the only way that was going to happen was through him.
Castiel swooping in. "What, Dean?" he asked.
"You can't just leave me here," he told his angel friend. "I don't have wings."
"Right," Castiel replied. He took Dean's hand and flew away from the monsters.
"Wow," Dean said. "This is what you see when you fly?"
"Normally," Castiel replied. "I'm much faster, but for some reason, in Purgatory, I only have half my strength." He looked at Dean. "I'm still connected to Heaven, but only half as much as I used to. Does that make sense?"
"Yes," Dean said. "It does. What do you know about Purgatory?"
"That all the monsters that any and all of the hunters have fought end up here," Castiel replied.
"How are we going to get out of here then?" Dean asked him.
Castiel looked at Dean as he gently landed on top of a tree where the monsters wouldn't get to them. "That is something I don't have the answer to," Castiel replied. "But if there's a way..."
"We can find it," Dean said sure of himself. "I know Sam will be doing the same on the other side."
"I guess that's all we can do," Castiel told his friend.
