Prompt: "In a recent interview, Chris mentioned that emotional scenes are extremely physically exhausting for him. I'd love it if someone could write a fic where, after Chris sings 'Blackbird' in Original song, the crying tires him out so much that he falls asleep on one of the couches in the Warbler rehearsal room. Perhaps he falls asleep after the scene ends, as the crew starts to pack up? It's really up to the author, though. Can be Chris/Darren romance or friendship. Points if the Warbler boys admire how adorable Chris looks when he's asleep."

I had taken off my Warbler jacket and rolled my sleeves up, filming always made me warm. I turned around to talk to Chris, and noticed he was drifting off, having sat down on the couch I had previously been perched upon.

"Darren, can I have a word?" Ryan called. I was only half listening to what he was saying as the younger boy I had grown to love was catching my eye; of course Chris didn't know he was distracting me, he was simply falling asleep. All I remember about Ryan's conversation was that we were going to shoot the next scene Friday - give Chris a chance to recover from todays. As soon as he was gone I went back over to Chris, who was looking so exhausted I didn't know how he hadn't passed out yet.

Even though I knew I loved Chris, we were still only friends, albeit best friends, so I only whispered softly to him "lay down and rest" and gently stroked his hair, glad that Chris was less concerned with his hair than Kurt.

Within moments Chris was asleep, his breathing soft and even. There was the bustle of the crew moving things out, and the loud Warbler's around us, but none of it mattered to Chris. While I sat there, looking fondly on to him, Curt and Riker came over, joking about the "3 6 mafia". They stopped talking though when they saw Chris, just admired the sleeping boy. They started joking again quickly though when the saw me staring at them, "Isn't our ickle Chrissy-poo cute when he sleeps?" Riker said in a fake baby tone. Curt saw the look I gave him and ushered him away, then turned back to me, "Seriously dude though, he's cute – better nab him before someone else does."

I just nodded as I looked back down at Chris, he was cute, and lots of other adjectives, and maybe one day I could call him mine.
