Since I'm really into Ninjago right now, I figured my first fanfic would be about Ninjago. This fanfic is basically the entire show from Lord Garmadon's POV. I do plan on adding scenes that weren't on the show though, because as viewers, we didn't get to see everything Garmadon did or said. For those of you who haven't watched season 4, this fanfic does contain some major spoilers. Actually, it pretty much spoils the entire TV series. Anyways, without further ado, I present to you my first fanfic. Btw, I do not own Ninjago, or, well, any of this.
Prelude
The moment Garmadon lifted the Sword of Fire and the Nunchucks of Lightning from where they hung on the wall, pure, undiluted power flooded his leanly-muscled form. His blood-red eyes widened, as he gazed down at the two golden weapons in awe. He trembled with barely contained excitement. Never before had he felt so strong, so unstoppable. Never before had he felt so… In control.
(Take the weapons. Take them, take them now, and reshape the world in your image-)
Garmadon trembled and closed his eyes, basking in the energy coursing through his tainted being. He was flame and storm. Life and death. Order and chaos. Light and dark. Part of the cosmos, yet separate from it all at the same time.
(You were born to rule, born to wield these weapons, born to take it all for yourself and reshape the world in your-)
"I'm afraid those are for display only."
Garmadon smiled. "Hmm…" Garmadon began, as he turned to face his younger brother. He tightened his grip on the two weapons. "Tell me, what good is a weapon if all it's good for is collecting dust?"
Wu shook his head. "Don't be a fool!" Wu snapped, voice holding just the hint of a plea. For a moment, Garmadon found himself doubting himself. He immediately shook the uneasy feeling off as Wu continued. "Father warned that their power was beyond any one man's-"
Rage surged through Garmadon's very core.
(Just look at him, trying to control you, because he thinks he's so much better than you-)
Garmadon snarled and pointed the Sword of Fire at his brother. "Father was the fool!"
Wu's dark eyes flashed. He leveled his Bo staff at Garmadon. "How dare you speak so lowly of father? We made him a promise," Garmadon's younger brother firmly said. "These weapons shall not leave this monastery."
"Then I shall destroy it!" Garmadon seethed, shaking with anger. "And all who stand in my way!" Garmadon sent a blast of fire at his brother, red eyes gleaming with glee and wicked intent. And the battle between the two brothers commenced.
...
Garmadon was the one who was defeated.
He was the one to plummet into the darkness of the Underworld. He was the one who was cursed with a new form, a new form befitting of his blackened soul. And he was the one who found himself wanting, who found himself craving the daylight and the freedom. Garmadon was the one who was without, unlike his pathetic brother.
(You impatient, idiotic fool! If you had just waited for the right opportunity, if you had strategized, you wouldn't be here in the first place. Ninjago would have been yours!)
The Voice's accusation rang undeniably true. So even while Garmadon cursed his brother and conquered the Skulkin and made himself king of a throne of bones, he sat in the shadows… And waited. For, contrary to what the Voice hissed, Garmadon could be very patient indeed.
Gosh, this was short. XD Don't worry though. This is only the intro. I promise the next chapter will be longer. I'm always up for constructive criticism, btw, so if you see anything wrong with the story, feel free to comment about it.
