CHAPTER 1:Starting day

I never would have imagined the situation that came to be on the day I played the virtual reality game SAO. I was a beta tester for the game, and I never expected virtual reality and I never expected it because I always beta tested games since I could build my first computer.

The game was just beautiful even if there were bugs and even if it was hard to play, I really enjoyed playing it. But my expectations for one game to change history of gaming, has turned to the worst since the release of the game to the public in full alpha.

I was anxious to play the game and try to beat it along with people I find and the help I will give; I had the nerve gear on while I was on my bed about to start it with my final thought, thinking that this game is the best in the world.

It started with the language and login to my character that I had in beta testing. Once that was out of the way I was in the beginning floor where there were millions of players that got the game before they sold out. The first thing I did was head out and level up my character so that I can hit the floors in no time and fly through them.

I spent the day going around and leveling up and was about to head to the dungeon on floor one. But I checked the time and it was time for me to leave and head to bed and I went to the menu and, it was gone. The logout button wasn't there and I thought it was a bug but then I started to teleported and I came back to the beginning where it seemed like everyone is teleported and had the same problem.

The first thing was that the game master appeared and told what exactly happened and that the logout on the menu was not a glitch but then the game creator explained his sick and twisted game. The last thing was that everyone had a mirror which changed our avatar appearance to our actual selves and he said once your health hits zero that you will die from the nerve gear and that there were already 200 lives that had been lost to the game. The only way to beat the game is to kill the final boss at the very top 100th level which is clearly impossible.

The barrier went down and I ran to go get a head start on things so that everyone else doesn't pull any moves to get better gear. Bandits I hate and the worst thing is that there are a whole lot of people after the same things I will get, so it is better to more equipped for this life and death situation. And in this world there are gonna be bandits and there are just doing it because that is there only option or that they do it for fun.

Still I have to get through the first day and then I will start to the floors and through the ranks. But is that what I really want to be? Do I want to be the player that keeps everything to himself? Well I will try to not be that player and I will try till the end.

The night approached and my pace never changed as I weaved through enemies along the forest trail to the town. But now I need to keep going if I am ever gonna get out of this game and hopefully I won't lose myself in the process.
