I've Finally Realized what I want to Protect

Before I begin...
can we please discuss the new trailer for the NEW MOVIE?
(spoilers entail)

I cannot stop watching it. Cannot. It gets better and better every time I watch it, I swear.
AND HINATA LOOKS SO FLIPPIN' PRETTY IN THIS TRAILER AND KAKASHI IS HOKAGE AND-

anyways, please enjoy this drabble that was inspired by the new trailer, and it's upcoming plot. For those who don't know, Hanabi is kidnapped by the movie's villain, after failing to kidnap Hinata.
There's a moment in the trailer (around 0:55) where Hinata is staring off, with Naruto gazing at her with the look of love.
It's the perfect gif and honestly, even if NaruHina doesn't become canon, THIS GIF WILL FEED ME STRENGTH.
...and so, that moment in the trailer inspired this story.

I hope you enjoy this drabble!

He stared at her navy hair blowing in the wind. He stared at her beautiful, ivory skin that shone in the sun's dimming light. He stared at her eyes, brooding with sadness, but still gleaming with hope. He stared at her, in her entirety.
Gone was the shy, rather awkward girl he once knew.
Now, she was a confident and strong woman.

He couldn't stop gazing at her.
His cerulean blue eyes widened with awe, inspired by her beauty.
He was inspired by her in general.

"I want to bring back Hanabi," She whispered. "my dearest little sister. No matter what it takes,"
The wind softly rustled her hair. She seemed unfazed, lost in thoughts over the desire to bring her little sister.
Even if Hanabi did take away their Father's affections, his priority, as children; Hinata loved her sister with her whole heart.
Naruto respected that.
"We'll bring her back," Naruto reassured her.
She appreciated the comment. Really, she did. But all she could do was smile faintly. "I want to protect her,"
She was aware he knew, but she had the rather strange desire to tell him that out loud.

Two years ago, she confessed to him.
Two years ago, she showed her true strength and power to him- protecting him from Pein.
Two years ago, she saved him from his darkest moment- Neji's death- and showed him the light.
Two years ago, she loved him.
No- always. She always loved him.
He smiled at her.
Even if she wasn't looking back at him, he could feel her love radiating to him.
Her mind might belong to Hanabi at this moment, but he knew her heart would always belong to him.
She was always on his side. She was always there, ready to fight for him. To protect him.
She was a hero.
A hero needs something to protect in order to become stronger. To feel love, one must find something to protect.

He stood still in awe, at the young and beautiful Hyuga in front of him. Not just beautiful in appearance, but also on the inside. Her personality was as flawless as a field of flowers, that had just received a soft shower of fresh snowy powder. So delicate and beautiful.
Her outward character was just as impressive...if not, even more.
Gawking at the treasure before him, his heart raced even faster.
"I just want to bring her back," Hinata quietly said. Although her voice was low, the determination in that sentence was not. "I need to protect her,"
Naruto stayed quiet.

It wasn't that he didn't care.
No. Rather, the opposite.
'I've finally realized what I want to protect,' He thought to himself.
'...And that's why I'll do anything!'
