A Night to Remember

Ron, Hermione, and Harry were on their mission from Dumbledore, during which would be their seventh year at Hogwarts. They were in the drawing room of Grimmauld Place. Harry had fallen asleep on the floor. Ron and Hermione were sitting on the couch reading a book on the secrets of Hogwarts.

"Hermione…"

"Yes Ron?"

"Do you think when this is all over, we'll all still be you know. Best friends?"

Ouch. That best friends bit hurt. Hermione thought as she answered, "Of course Ron."

Ron looked hurt. "Well I was kinda…" Harry began to snore very loudly. "Nevermind."

But Hermione ignored his thought, "Hoping we'd be more?"

"Exactly."

"Well…" Hermione turned to she was facing Ron. "Ron I…" But then Harry rolled over in his sleep. "Think we better be quiet so we don't wake him."

Ron nodded, guessing that she was about to tell him the same thing he almost told her. He simply pulled her squarely onto his lap and smiled at her. Hermione smiled back and opened the book back up to where they had been reading. They began to read but Ron couldn't focus. He decided to go for it. He bent down and gently kissed her neck. She reached up and rubbed the spot where he had kissed. Slowly she turned around and she leaned toward him. Hermione's lips tingled against Ron's.

"I love you Hermione Granger." Ron whispered against Hermione's lips. He felt her smile against his lips. It was dark so Hermione must've dropped her wand in the midst of his kiss. She pushed her lips gently against his again. "So I'm guessing that's a good thing."

"Very." She pulled him up and kissed him, "There's something I want to do before there's a chance we might die. She pulled him out of the room and they disappeared upstairs.

Around four they crept back down the stairs. "We better lay down before Harry wakes up."

"Hermione sleep on the couch cushions."

"Why?"

"You're more fragile then Harry and I. if you don't your back will hurt something awful in the morning."

"Ron..."

"Hermione please just do it."

"Fine." Ron pulled the cushions off the couch for her and they lay down side by side. Holding hands as they fell asleep.

"Harry woke up early the next morning, wrapped in a sleeping bag on the drawing room floor."

Disclaimer!!!!: I don't own Harry Potter. I simply borrowed it from J.K. Rowling. Especially the last bit. That I borrowed strait from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows.
