I got this idea from the list '23 things to do in a ministry of magic elevator'...

..

"Good morning," Remus said to her neutrally. She nodded in response, and they let the other people enter the elevator and fill the large gap between them. She glanced over to him at one point and caught his eye, but she was pretty sure no one had noticed. Knowledge that she, a trusted Auror was friends with a werewolf... She wouldn't keep her job, and both Dumbledore & Lupin himself had forbid her to be friendly with him in public, at least for the time being. She kept a smile plastered to her face, but whenever Remus came into the ministry for whatever reason she always felt like a sulky child not getting what she wants. She hated not being able to interact with him normally! The elevator stopped and the people piled out and the doors shut once more until they were alone.

"God I hate this." She told him, stomping her foot for effect. "I swear I want to kiss you more when I can't than any other time!" Remus raised an eye brow an amused look on his face. "Sorry, you know what I mean though..."

"You're a rebel," he chuckled, and she sidled closer to him. She was about to reach out and touch his arm when the elevator stopped dead. She waited for the doors to open, but nothing happened...

"Elevator 12 has malfunctioned. Please wait patiently; repairs will begin in ten minutes." A cool voice echoed around the elevator. She felt more than heard her Remus sigh beside her, and she looked at him sideways, smirking as a brilliant idea came to mind.

"Remus," he looked over at her tiredly.

"Yes dear..."

"I know how we could pass the time..." She let her fingers travel from his hand up his arm, and wished he wasn't wearing such thick robes.

"We're in the ministry Dora..." He raised his eye brows in surprise.

"Yeah..." She grinned. "Where is that marauder spirit Moony?" She reached up on tip toes and kissed him on the lips, being sure to press her body against him at the same time. She heard a low growl come from his throat, and she knew she had him convinced, she cheered herself silently.

..

Ahem.

She heard someone clearing their throat, and she slowly detached herself from Remus. She discreetly used her wand to do up their clothing as she saw Remus' face go blank with shame as he saw who was standing before them.

"Goodmorning Lupin, Tonks..." Arthur's face was calm, but she thought she could see a smile twitching at the corner of his mouth. "The elevator is fixed..." He gestured to the elevator, and she felt a blush rise to her cheeks.

"Er, it's not what it looks like..." Lupin began, but Arthur just waved his hand dismissively.

"Lupin, you will not be the first, nor the last couple to be caught." Remus looked down at his battered shoes, and if it weren't for the fact that someone could walk past at any time she would have rested her hand on his arm. Poor Remus, such a gentleman. He shuffled past Arthur and headed down the hallway, his shoulders slumped. She would have to make it up to him tonight, after all it was her fault. She winked at Arthur and headed in the opposite direction to Remus and towards the Auror office. Well, Lupin may not have enjoyed that but she certainly still had a rush.
