"I think I have heard this melody before. The melody is different. But I hear the drums of war."

Megaman slowly trots his way home, the burning inferno of what is left of Wily's Castle behind him. This was his SEVENTH time defeating Dr. Wily, another battle that ended in the blood shed of his fellow machines.

Megaman sighs, not looking back at the destruction he has caused. Why must he always have to fight? Would the violence ever stop? Is he even capable of being normal again? These questions are left alone without answer, or better yet, one that isn't to heart crushing.

He knows Wily will ultimately return, like he always has, like he always will. Despite that man's age, he seems to be always going, fueled by his hate for Dr. Light and his creations. Megaman never understood why a man can be so… malicious and heartless. His persistence was what led to his inevitable imprisonment, but peace never lasts.

Megaman wonders what is going on in the world, something that doesn't involve Wily and him. He looks up into the starry sky, contemplating his real purpose, one that doesn't involve foiling an enraged old man's plans. As he tears his eyes away from the sky, he turns to look at his trusted companion, Rush.

Rush whimpers and goes up against Megaman, as if he felt the melancholy that began to fill every part of Megaman's small metallic body. Rush then quickly rushes ahead of Megaman and lies down in front of him, as to indicate it would be best if they rode home. Megaman walks bye him as to show he would rather walk, as to have time to think. Or at least, that is what he thinks he his doing, THINKING. Maybe it was just very elaborate code as to make Megaman appear outwardly human, maybe he really had no real mind of his own, just like the mechas that Megaman has destroyed many, many times.

What makes him different? They were coded to be a certain way and to be simplistic, just like how he was coded to act human like, one with emotions. He could swear he feels sorrowfulness in his non-existent gut, but he knows it's all supposed to appear that way, it isn't there is it.

He has been thinking for what felt like an eternity. He checks the time, only an hour has passed, and he seems to still be in the middle of no where. This wasn't really a problem, it was better with some alone time, a time where he isn't busy or destroying corrupted robots. This is going to be a long walk.

It had been many, many long hours before the sun decided to show its self. Megaman finally somewhere he finally recognizes, the city. He sees a Train start to come his way, loudly yelling a simple chime as to signify it's stop. Megaman hops on top of it, Rush following behind. The train immediately begins to go again, with no one in the streets, or at least here in the outskirts.

He takes his helmet off, staring at the sun that is slowly crawling it's way up and above the land that Megaman resides atop of. He gives a slight smile as he rides through the city, with birds chirping and people both young and old move about. The sight of humans safe and happy made Megaman have a good feeling resonate inside him, if it really was a feeling.

Megaman sees patchy green hills form in front of him, he was almost home. The sun has now truly begun to shine on to the land, with a beautiful scenery folding before him. The train stops at it's final station, and so Megaman jumps off. He walks through the fields happily, thinking about how yes, Wily will return, peace truly exists. He leaves his helmet behind in the field and begins to run to the house in the distance, Rush following close behind him.

Megaman now runs down a road that goes through forest, one filled with wildlife and nature, a grand departure from the eerie and mechanical halls and labyrinths that were the Wily Stages. He quickly ends up at his front lawn, where his robot master brothers reside, happily talking. But everyone silences when they see Megaman, who walks calmly walks down the path that leads up to his front door, his hair flowing in the wind. He pushes open the door, and immediately Rush, well, rushes in, running around and barking in excitement. Roll runs up to Megaman hugging him, not saying a word. Dr. Light closely following behind her, also notably joyed.

"I am so glad your home, Mega!" Roll says, not letting go of Megaman. "Welcome home Rock! We've been waiting for you." Dr Light chuckles and they all begin to go into the lab, laughing and filled with joy, all the sadness that filled Rock was gone. Rock momentarily leaving behind his title of "Megaman", takes a picture of him with his family, a memory that will last forever.

A figure stand several miles away from Rock's little "family reunion". His entire body covered from neck to ankle in a brown robe, and his mouth and nose covered by an orange scarf. His eyes devoid anything, just a black color. He wore an aqua blue helmet with a tube shooting down his spine.

He watched with his incredible sight, talking to himself atop the mountain. "You just wait, Megaman, I'll have a fair fight with you and your brother soon enough. I will prove by dominance, and you shall' fall to my power, ultimately leaving behind all but broken scrap to add to my lovely collection."He pauses, before continuing. "You may be the originals, but I am the peek of Robotics, I am the superior model in every way, and you will all FEEL THAT POWER!" The figure then turns around and makes his way to who knows what, laughing silently to himself like a mad man.
