Kendall watched silently as his girlfriend looked her body over in the mirror with a look of disgust on her face.
"LeeAnn, what's wrong sweetie?" he asked as he walked up behind her.
She jumped.
"Everything," she mumbled quietly. "There's nothing right about me. I'm so fat." She turned sideways to emphasize her point.
"Stop that," he said while kissing her cheek. "I don't want to hear that from you. You are not fat. You're beautiful."
"You're just saying that because you're my boyfriend."
"That is not true. You are beautiful and amazing and I love you. Why can't you see that?"
"Because it's not true!"
She stormed out of Kendall's apartment and drove to her own.
"You're just a fat, ugly, whore," she whispered to herself. "You don't deserve Kendall."
LeeAnn ran to her drawer and grabbed the case that held the blade she knew too well.
"You don't deserve anything."
She dug the blade into her skin and cringed when the blood flowed down her arm.
"You don't deserve anything," she repeated, this time sobbing.
"LeeAnn, open the door!" Kendall yelled while he was pounding on it. "Open it now!"
"Go away, Kendall!" she yelled back.
Kendall walked back a little and kcicked the door as hard as he could. It flew open and LeeAnn's head snapped up. She gasped.
"LeeAnn, what are you doing?"
"I don't deserve this!" she sobbed, the blade cutting her skin again.
"LeeAnn, stop it!" he yelled as he ran to her side. He grabbed the blade and threw it to the other side of the room. "Why are you doing this?" He grabbed a shirt off the ground and wrapped it around her arm. "Why?" he repeated.
"I don't deserve you," LeeAnn sobbed. "I don't deserve anything."
"Stop saying that," he said pulling her in close to him. "Stop that right now. You do deserve me. You do deserve this. Stop satying you don't."
"Someone as ugly as me doesn't deserve someone like you," she said. He hugged her tighter. "Let me go!"
"No," he said, "I'm not letting you go until you realize how amazing you are."
She started hitting his chest. "Let me go!"
He tightened his hold on her. "Why can't you just see that you're beautiful? I love you and I don't ever want you to change."
"Let me go," she said, quieter than before. Her attempts at freeing herself weakened. Her voice changed to a whisper. "Let me go."
"I'm not letting you go," he said softly. "I'll never let you go. I'll always be here for you."
LeeAnn kept crying and eventually she fell asleep on Kendall's chest. He rubbed her back and sang softly.
LeeAnn may not believe she was beautiful, but Kendall did. And he wasn't going to stop trying to convince her she was.
Author's note:
This is really short. I know. But that's why it's called a drabble, not a story! So…
It's cute, sweet, and romantic. I hope you like it
