She told herself, again and again, that she was use to this.

She wouldn't fight it, she couldn't, but she could take it.

She would be alright, she wouldn't make a sound, she would endure it until the end.

She wished, deep down, someone would save her.

She also knew, no one would come, she was alone in this.

She hoped it would be for the better, she was the only one hurt, she could handle it.

She wondered, when she was younger, why she was hated by the villagers.

She knows, now, it's because they view her as the fox demon.

She wants it to stop, and suddenly it does, the villagers are held by shadows.

She looks up, from her spot where she was beaten in the dirt, and sees her savor.

She offers a smile, a small one, to Shikamaru.

She tries to stand, to thank him properly, but her legs are too injured.

She gasps as he picks her up, he's stronger than she thought, he glares at the villagers.

She watched, from over his shoulder, as the villagers are released from the jutsu and run.

She wraps her arms around his neck, to make it easier for him to carry her, he smiles.

She never thought she would be the reason, the reason he was so active, it made her happy.

She realizes she's in love, she love's Shikamaru, she hopes he will love her as well.

She asks him, on the way to wherever he's taking her, what he thinks of her.

She feels her heart flutter, as he kisses her, smart enough to know not to need words.

She is asked to be his girlfriend, he says he want's to be able to say, she is his Naruto.

She accepts, and kisses him again, he stumbles and falls.

She gets dirtier, but so does he, and they laugh about it.

She lets him hold her, and he stands again with her in his arms, and takes her home.

She will never be alone again, she is loved, and she is thrilled by it.

She stays with Shikamaru, that night, and forevermore.

So I decided to go back to the more poetic stuff I was experimenting with back when I first started Fanfiction and this is what I came up with. I liked it and decided to put it up. I hope you liked it to, thanks fro reading, and I would love to hear what you think in a review!
