The Prophecies

Prophecy of the Harbinger

As it has been, so it shall be,

That the black-gold Lord of the Shadowlands,

In his hungers,

Shall take unto himself that maiden of darkest crown, and

Steal away the peace of a goddess of flaxen hair boun'.

Woe unto that Lord,

For what shall never be, has come to pass,

And that which was, will be forever cursed as the last.

Beseech ye forebearers, O Maiden,

In that land, for respite from thine torment, plea;

See then, that thy Father,

In His kindness, hast given ye a small mercy:

That thee shall live,

Unshackled, away from the Fates and free,

To cleave to thy love, as he to she,

And as to each a bond of earth the one shall give,

Bound by the sea.

Prophecy of the Morrigan

Hear, here, another thing to fear:

Of royal 'lusts and graven dust,

Which is to live, that one must give?

Tear, Macc Duinn, rip and tear;

The Hoar Frost comes with the ebb of the Kingtide,

As the time of the Bright Blade and Stave shall abide,

To portend the coming of the end,

The Day of cold Sun and sea Flare.

Author's Note: So, with the new info from the solicitations for BaTB: BM&WW #4 & #5 (btw: if you're reading the actual comic, don't visit DC's website; they spoiled their own story :( ), I've added another prophecy. Bonus points if anyone can guess what the final stanza of the second prophecy means/fortells.
