The Doctor pops his head round the door to the TARDIS console room, a hopeful smile on his face. It falls when he sees Amy sat on the flight chair, fiddling listlessly with a diamond ring she thinks belongs to him. How do I explain it? He thinks, oh, that's the ring your fiancé gave you. Don't remember him? No, he was erased from the universe after all. He shakes his head, nmussing up his hair. Yes, that'd definitely go down well, he thinks sarcasticly. Adjusting his bow tie, he steps into the console room, the picture of confidence.

"Amy!" he cres, perhaps with a bit too much warmth in his voice. She shrieks and jumps at the unexpected sound, the sudden movement causiubng the rng to fall to the floor and roll under the console. She thinks he hasn't noticed. He's noticed. Amy looks at him, wearing an all-too-innocent smile. Her reaction to the lost rnig causes a sad expression to flicker across his face for a second.

She doesn't notice, and this almost makes his heart break.

"I think it's about time you showed me some more of the TARDIS, Doctor," Amy says, leaning against the console almost suggestively, "What've you got? A swimming pool, I remember that…"

She remembers that. But she won't remember…the Doctor thinks, feeling pained.

"And a laboratory, have you got one of those? Where you can do all your alien experiements? You could make me something. You could make me a boyfriend."

The Doctor has to turn away to hide his sorrow. Amy's world already made her a boyfriend, the most perfect soul-mate for her. The Doctor's world took him away.
