The Spine awoke (if you could call it that) to the darkness of the closet he slept (if you could call it that) in. He instinctively scanned his surroundings, then walked out to join everyone at breakfast.
When he entered the room, it was clear something was off. It took The Spine a moment to realize that everyone's funny looks were directed towards him. Rabbit was the only one who didn't look confused - rather, it seemed like he was trying his hardest to keep a straight face. He also seemed to be avoiding eye contact with his brother.
The Spine tried to shake it off and tell himself nothing was strange. He got a glass of water and sat down at the table across from Rabbit, who looked about ready to burst.
He tried to spark a conversation by bringing up their upcoming performance at the Walter Robotics Expo, but everyone only mumbled their responses and exchanged amused glances. Rabbit made choked snorting noises and steam shot from his vents as he tried not to laugh.
"what is going on?" The Spine finally asked, fed up. Walter Girl Bunny left the room and came back with a hand mirror. Rabbit lost it, banging his fist on the table and howling with laughter.
The Spine let out a heavy sigh as he saw the words "WEAK BABY" written on his left cheek.
Rabbit fell out of his chair and wiped fake tears from his eyes as he continued cracking up. The Spine looked at him and sighed again, before excusing himself to wash his face. Rabbit laughed for hours.
