The fine arts can be a difficult subject to peruse. It means to take chances and find out what you are good at. It's more of a whole gamble than a subject; to become a painter, dancer, musician, singer, or actor. However what is the truth that is not known about the arts? I know, everyone who is an artist themselves should know. Hello, my name is AdelaideNoel, but my friend's call be Addie, I was born is France and lived there for 8 years, I moved here, to New York City, and now I am currently a Senior at the Manhattan School of the Arts.
Becoming a dancer was not easy. I remember when I was 3 years old I had asked my mother if I could take dance lessons, she told me that I could if I worked hard at it she would consider it, and of course I did. By the age of 7 I knew what my future held out for me, it was becoming a professional dancer. That night I dragged my parents into the kitchen and sat them down, and told them that I was going to be a dancer no matter what, they were surprised by my abruptness to plan my future. From then on I was dedicated to reach my goal and aim for the stars. The next year I moved to New York which deterred my dancing, since my father lost his job we couldn't afford a fine dance school, I was forced to take lessons in a small studio in Queens. Later, I began to teach myself Ballet, by reading books, I knew I had no future in anything else, since I wasn't a very good student. When I was a freshman in High School I had received a letter, which was from the Manhattan School of the Arts, giving me a full scholarship to attend their school. Since then, I have been working hard, every day after school I take the subway all the way out to the East Side of New York to take my lessons. In the end the hard work will pay off, hopefully I can achieve my dream to become a dancer and perform around the world.
The real story really starts at the dining table. My family was eating dinner; Ratatouille stew once again, and we had all had a hard works day. I had just come back from dance class and my parents from work; we usually come home at the same time. "Madame Louise told me I was the best at doing the Pointe in my class" I said trying to make small talk. "Wonderful news Adelaide" mama said she sneaked a quick glance at papa. Curious, I asked them what was going on, which from this day on I wish I hadn't, "Addie, we will be going to France for some time" papa said. "How long?" I asked, usually our trips to Paris were only a few weeks, "Well, we will not be visiting, we will be staying there for a year" papa said "What!" I yelled "what about my dancing?!" I said, "You will be taking lessons at your old school, and it will be a good experience for you" mama said "you've been forgetting about your French culture; besides this will help improve your français". "It is not fair! What about my scholarship at the Manhattan School of the Arts that is a very prestigious scholarship!" I yelled. "We will have to cancel, this trip will be good for you, trust me" papa said firmly. Trust him? That was the worst thing to do.
"Please, keep your seat belts on at all times, and thank for flying Air France" said the Captain "S'il vous plaît, gardez votre ceinture sur à tous moments et merci pour voler l'Air France" translated a French air hostess. We had just boarded the plane and I was already air sick. Just looking at a plane made me sick, I took out a copy of one of my favorite books "Wuthering Heights". "Vroooooooooooooom" we were already on the runway, and we took off up, up, and away.
